Kerry Katona has addressed reports that Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, allegedly hit her ex-boyfriend, Paolo Margaglione, during a trip to Dubai in March.
Kerry, 45, and Paolo, 43, had joined Katie, 47, and Lee, 42, on their honeymoon.
People said Paolo got upset with how Lee was speaking to Katie, and when he challenged Lee about it, Lee supposedly punched him. Lee claims this didn’t happen.
I was just chatting with Paul C Brunson on his podcast, ‘We Need To Talk,’ and he actually showed a picture of us all having fun on our recent trip! It brought back some great memories.
Paul explained that people could speak for as long or as short a time as they liked, but as an experienced interviewer, he needed to introduce everyone. He then showed a picture of Kerry, Katie, Paolo, and Lee.
Paolo said: ‘I know what this is, it’s going to be four of us, I knew it!’
Kerry and Katie are still close friends, but Kerry has stopped following Lee on Instagram. She’s staying quiet about the situation to be respectful of Katie, though she hasn’t said there wasn’t a disagreement.
She declined to comment on the matter, stating she didn’t want to give it any further attention. She then added that she cares for Kate very much.
Paolo added: ‘I really love Kate, I think she’s amazing, that’s all I have to say, that’s it.’
Kerry suggested she was frustrated with Lee and decided to stop discussing her. She stated she disapproved of Lee’s decisions and didn’t want to talk about it anymore.
It’s clear both Kerry and Paolo think the world of Katie and simply want the best for her.
Paolo shared that he thinks Kate is a wonderful person, having met her several times and formed a positive impression.
She’s a truly wonderful person, and I believe she deeply desires and deserves love.
I truly believe that, and I think Kate is a wonderful person. Kerry always has positive things to say about her.
Kerry suggested another reason she hadn’t been sharing many specifics about what occurred.
She said: ‘We’re gonna leave it there. It’s not my story to tell Paul, either.’
Katie shocked fans after tying the knot with Lee following a ‘week long romance.
Kerry and Paolo traveled to the UAE for a Valentine’s Day getaway, meeting up with Katie and her husband. However, Paolo returned home after only 14 hours due to a reported altercation.
From what I understand, the situation changed when Paolo felt Lee was being overly aggressive with Katie in their conversation. It seems like that interaction was the turning point, and Paolo reacted to what he perceived as a hostile exchange.
Kerry wasn’t said to be present when the alleged row took place but heard about it from Paolo.
I heard Lee and Katie were having a really heated argument. Then, thankfully, Paolo showed up and tried to calm things down. But Lee was absolutely furious and started yelling at Paolo, apparently! It was a pretty tense situation, from what I understand.
Things escalated quickly, and Lee ended up hitting Paolo in the head. It was shocking to watch, as the situation went from tense to violent in an instant. Everything happened so fast, it was hard to process.
During the interview, Paul asked about Katie, saying he knew many people questioned their friendship. He wondered why anyone would think they could be friends at all.
Kerry responded, “Seriously? Can I clarify things about Kate and me? We’re very different people, and I think you’ve noticed.”
Kate and I have incredibly similar experiences, and I believe we uniquely understand each other’s challenges in this industry. No one else truly knows what either of us has gone through like we know it ourselves.
They’ve all faced tough times – five children between them, two husbands who’ve gone bankrupt, and both have struggled with drug use, plus they’ve both worked as glamour models, so we’re aware of their backgrounds. When they’re together, they have fun and joke around, but they’re actually quite different personalities.
I care deeply about Kate and want the best for her, and I’ll always support her. However, we have different perspectives and aren’t always aligned in our views.
I was pleased to realize, as the tour went on, that Kate kept echoing my points. It made me feel quite proud to see her acknowledge what I’d said.
I noticed Kate laughing while I was speaking, and it made me realize she was actually paying attention to my motivational talk about myself. She even started repeating some of what I said during the tour, which was exactly what I’d hoped for.
I hoped people would get to see the real Kate – the one I knew. We had a wonderful time together, filled with lots of laughter, and I truly got to know her well during the tour.
