TOWIE’s Dan Edgar Sparks Reunion Rumors with Ex Ella Rae Wise at Dancing On Ice Debut
It’s been speculated that Dan Edgar could be rekindling his relationship with Ella Rae Wise, since he made his first appearance on “Dancing on Ice” last Sunday evening.
On the ITV program, the TOWIE celebrity, age 34, skated, leaving viewers amazed as they watched his colleague Ella cheering him on from the crowd.
During their conversation with the spectators, the topic of Dan and Ella’s tumultuous relationship, which seemed to be on again, off again, was raised.
Ella kept tight-lipped on the pair’s relationship status as she replied to Stephen with one word.
He playfully questioned Ella whether she’d consider going out with him if she happens to be unattached at the moment, and her response was ‘No.’ (implied: not right now)
Additionally, Ella posted a picture on Instagram from the Dancing On Ice studio, encouraging fans to “vote for Dan.” This post sparked a buzz among spectators as well.
During the performance, Ella found herself seated among her fellow cast members from TOWIE, specifically James “Diags” Bennewith and Tom Pearce, by her side.
In November, Dan and Ella had a heated argument, visible on an episode of The Only Way Is Essex. The altercation left her crying, and subsequently, she chose to block Dan on social platforms.
It came to light later that the duo had quietly parted ways behind the scenes, and it turned out that Ella had already started a new relationship with another person.
By the time the TOWIE Christmas special was broadcast, viewers had witnessed Dan and Ella reconcile for the holiday edition, only to part ways on-screen once more.
In the Dancing On Ice competition of 2025, Chelsee Healey and her partner, Andy Buchanan, were the ones who left the show during its Sunday broadcast.
In a turn of events, comedian Josh Jones advanced to Movie Night as he ended up in the bottom two with Chelsee. Surprisingly, instead of a skate-off, there was an initial elimination without one in a significant format shift.
Chelsee was at the bottom of the leaderboard when she performed last weekend with 22 points.
She put on a dazzling performance as she and partner Andy skated to Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love.
Supporters expressed their anger over the outcome, with one posting on Twitter, “I suspected it all along, unfortunate for Chelsee. She truly should not have been eliminated first.
Reacting to her exit, Chelsee held back tears and said: ‘It’s fine’.
Holly said: ‘I think everyone is shocked actually to see you in this position.’
Chelsee said, “To be honest, I’ve had quite a bit happening in my life that I’ve found challenging, which has made it difficult for me to concentrate. However, I truly appreciate it.
Earlier in the show fans slammed the ‘unfair’ rule change meaning there was no skate off.
In a fresh installment, the dazzling ITV program graced our screens once more, featuring an additional five celebrities who stepped onto the ice for the initial time with their skating companions. The previous six had their grand entrance in the premiere episode last week.
Initially, it was clear that a pair was going to be removed from the contest at the conclusion of the program, but spectators were disappointed when they found out that there would be no skate-off.
In the past, after a public vote, the two pairs receiving the fewest votes would face off in a competition called the skate-off. The judges would then decide which pair would be eliminated.
Alternatively, Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern clarified that there wouldn’t be a skate-off this week; instead, the couple with the fewest votes would leave directly.
Some people considered it unfair, arguing that certain pairs should be given an additional opportunity to showcase their abilities through another performance.
In a more casual tone, this post suggests that another skating pair deserves an additional week to perform, as they were eliminated swiftly in their first week despite it being unfair.
Couldn’t we have a skate-off? Isn’t it possible that more people could have voted last week, or even this week? In such a case, wouldn’t it be conceivable that someone might end up with an unfair advantage due to having fewer votes?
‘I still don’t get why there’s no Skate off till Week 5.’
Last week, it was Chris Taylor, Sam Aston, and Ferne McCann who stepped onto the ice to demonstrate their top dance moves.
This week, the last five celebrities unveiled their skating abilities to both the judges and ITV audiences.
Legendary figures Charlie Brooks (from EastEnders) and Sir Steve Redgrave, along with Mollie Pearce, Dan Edgar, and Josh Jones, were among the performers.
Dancing On Ice will return to ITV and ITVX on Sunday 26th January at 6:25pm.
