Tammy Hembrow sides with Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul after leaving Mormon church amid Bachelorette cancellation and domestic violence scandal

Tammy Hembrow has publicly shown her support for Taylor Frankie Paul, who is facing domestic violence allegations. These allegations led to the cancellation of Paul’s season of the U.S. version of The Bachelorette right before it was scheduled to air.

Paul shared a personal message on Instagram Sunday, describing the past 40 days as incredibly difficult and saying she’s been finding strength through her faith.

As someone who follows a lot of personal journeys, I’ve noticed people often re-evaluate their beliefs, and this mom of three recently shared hers. She grew up Mormon – she described being ‘born and raised LDS’ – and she’ll always cherish that part of her life, but she’s decided it’s time for her to move forward and step away from the church. It sounds like a really thoughtful decision for her.

Australian influencer Tammy Hembrow, often in the public eye when it comes to her personal life, sent a supportive comment – ‘Sending so much love mama’ – on the initial post.

Although many people have reacted positively to the mother’s comment—with over 800 ‘likes’—some have criticized Hembrow for supporting someone who has been accused of domestic violence.

Last May, after her half-brother Henri Thynne was imprisoned on 17 domestic violence charges, Hembrow publicly stated she condemns violence of any kind in a TikTok post.

Let me clear something up – I’ve been seeing some talk online, and I want to set the record straight. There’s a rumor going around that I helped my brother, Henri, out of jail, but that’s just not true. I really have no involvement in his legal matters, and I wanted to address that directly.

I want to be absolutely clear: I have no part in any of the legal issues. I haven’t spoken to my brother, and honestly, I haven’t seen him either. I really want everyone to understand that I’m completely separate from all of this, in every way possible.

She also wanted to state clearly that she absolutely does not support violence or abusive behavior of any kind. She believes it’s simply unacceptable.

TMZ reported on March 19th that Paul allegedly attacked her ex-boyfriend, 33-year-old Dakota Mortensen, while their daughter was present.

A controversial video caused ABC to immediately cancel Paul’s season of The Bachelorette before it even began, despite having already paid him his full contract.

Following the recent release of a video, Disney Entertainment Television announced they are pausing the new season of The Bachelorette and prioritizing support for the affected family.

Paul has three children: eight-year-old Indy and five-year-old Ocean with her former husband, Tate Paul, and two-year-old Ever with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

I’m really worried about Paul. She has a court hearing on Tuesday to discuss custody of her son, Ever. It’s all happening after Mortensen filed for a temporary restraining order last month, claiming she choked him back in February, according to TMZ. It’s a tough situation, and I’m hoping for the best outcome for everyone involved, especially Ever.

Paul has denied all of the allegations.

Newly released body camera footage from Paul’s 2023 arrest reveals Mortensen actually asked the police to arrest him instead of her.

A TMZ video published on March 23rd shows Jake Paul and Jordan Mortensen arguing just as police arrived at the door.

Police separated the two as an aggressive Paul tried to pour herself a water and began crying.

Mortensen told the officers who arrived that Paul was struggling and shared details about the abuse he claimed she inflicted on him.

Mortensen said he’d been hurt by Paul, and indicated the extent of his injuries was too much to fully explain.

At that point, Paul re-emerged, and told Mortensen to leave immediately.

When Paul was arrested, Mortensen offered to take her place in jail, explaining she simply wanted Paul to receive the support she felt was needed.

In February 2023, Paul was involved in an incident that led to charges of aggravated assault. He pleaded guilty to the third-degree charge in August 2023.

As part of the agreement, four additional charges were dismissed. Her probation, which began after the deal, is scheduled to end in August 2026.
