Michael Brunelli, who appeared on Married At First Sight, responded to a negative comment online. Someone criticized his three-year-old son, saying he ‘looked like a little girl,’ and Brunelli defended him.
The father responded to the online critic’s hurtful comment by posting a series of edited images that sarcastically ridiculed them.
Over the weekend, Michael, 35, posted a screenshot on Instagram of a hurtful comment he received along with a picture of his son, Lucius.
In a sweet photo, the dad of two is embracing his son, who is wearing a bright, colourful shirt and has long hair.
‘No disrespect, but your son looks like a little girl,’ wrote the troll, who uses the name Julzz.
They added, ‘His hair is too long, and his clothes don’t suit a young boy. We need to change his appearance to look more childlike.’
Okay, so Michael – my Michael, from Married at First Sight Australia, season six, you guys remember? – he actually responded to something today, and I’ve been losing it ever since! He said he’d been thinking about a comment all day… I need to know everything he was thinking!
Because Julzz and others seemed really focused on a young child’s hairstyle, I decided to offer some different ideas.
He then shared a collection of images featuring Lucius sporting various hairstyles, like dreadlocks, a mullet, a buzz cut, and frosted tips.
The popular celebrity also posted a picture of his son with three different hairstyles: a curly ‘broccoli’ look, a neat and stylish cut, and a short ‘speed racer’ style with designs shaved into the hair.
Michael’s followers responded enthusiastically to his cheeky post.
One person exclaimed, ‘This is amazing!’ and predicted a mullet was coming, while another confidently stated, ‘Definitely dreadlocks!’
Said a third follower, ‘I love his beautiful hair just the way it is.’
Influencer Steph Claire Smith responded with a long line of laughing emojis.
Michael and Martha, both 36, shared the happy news in March that they’d had a baby girl – their second child.
Alongside sweet images of their newborn, the proud mum shared the little girl’s unique name.

Martha had announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post in October.

The trainer shared that being a father is wonderful, but the last couple of years have been tough.
He admitted he’s been focused solely on getting by, putting his own well-being last as he took care of his family.
They got engaged two years after ‘marrying’ on the reality show Married At First Sight, but haven’t had a real wedding yet.
