Savage Garden star Darren Hayes reveals he has been forced to flee his home amid LA wildfires: 'I feel strangely sad and numb'

Due to the uncontrollable wildfires ravaging the Los Angeles area, causing many famous people’s mansions to be reduced to ashes, Darren Hayes has been compelled to leave his residence.

On a Friday update via Instagram, the singer from Savage Garden reassured both fans and close companions that he is safely taking refuge with his goddaughter’s relatives.

He expressed gratitude by saying, “My goddaughter and her family graciously welcomed us, as seen in this photo where my dog is cozying up with them.

He shared that they were safely evacuated as a precaution, since the danger zone was right at the end of his street. Many of his friends have sadly lost their homes in this situation. It’s heartbreaking, and he can only hope for an end to it quickly.

Darren had earlier shared an eerie photo of the blood red sky as fires continue to burn.

He wrote, “I’m fortunate not to be affected by the Los Angeles fires, which I feel guilty to share but am doing so due to the numerous compassionate individuals who have contacted me.

‘Things can shift abruptly, for I reside next to an area that requires immediate evacuation. Last night around midnight, smoke was present, yet there were no fires visible nearby.’

He expressed: ‘Indeed, I’m deeply saddened by the events unfolding and for my friends who have lost their homes, as well as everyone in our locality who has witnessed our neighborhood turn into ashes… I find myself feeling oddly sorrowful and lifeless.’

‘Unable to sleep last night because things could change in a heartbeat.’

After the heartbreaking news that an Australian actor had lost his home to the raging California wildfires, I can’t help but feel deeply affected. As a devoted fan, it’s hard not to empathize with him and share in his sorrow.

Actor Benjamin Rigsby from “Neighbours” posted a picture on Instagram last Friday showing what was left of his burnt-down house – just a blackened stairway.

He penned, ‘My heart is shattered into pieces, utterly and wholly. Our house no longer stands,’ accompanied by a distressing photograph.

As a lifestyle connoisseur hailing from sunny Queensland, I’m proudly using my platform to advocate for a cause close to my heart. I recently shared a link to a fundraising site, humbly asking for your generous contributions to support this worthy initiative.

Hello, I’m Belinda, a good friend of Ben who hails from Australia. Currently, I’m making an effort to assist Ben and Daren by gathering any emergency relief funds available, as their home was unfortunately destroyed due to the recent fires in Pacific Palisades this week. Our charity page is here if you wish to contribute.

In this photograph, you’ll find a captivating stairway that serves as the entrance to their abode. Beyond sharing its presence, there isn’t much more to divulge. Luckily, it seems they were out of the house when the shot was taken, ensuring their safety in the process.

In my fervent enthusiasm, I’d say, “I understand this is a crisis situation, so whatever funds are at hand, they’ll be allocated to cover whatever essentials these affected individuals require post their loss. This could range from provisions for food and shelter, clothing, vehicles, or any other necessities they might find themselves in need of.

As of Friday evening, the performer had managed to pull in around $31,000 as part of his appeal.

As a die-hard film enthusiast, I can’t help but brag about my favorite Hollywood star, none other than the fantastic Benjamin, who calls sunny Los Angeles home. This man has graced the silver screen in blockbusters like “Alien: Covenant” and “Ford v. Ferrari,” leaving audiences spellbound with his mesmerizing performances!

Back in 2011, I had the privilege of making an appearance on the beloved Australian soap opera, Neighbours. During my stint, I embodied the character David Sheridan.

Over the past five days, at least 10 individuals have lost their lives in the devastating fires that continue to sweep across Los Angeles, with authorities making multiple arrests for looting and arson during this period.

In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed the devastating impact that wildfires have had on million-dollar homes in the Hollywood Hills and Calabasas. The destruction has sparked conversations about city officials who are being criticized for not taking sufficient precautions to prevent such disasters.

It’s said that the fire in Calabasas, known as the Kenneth Fire, was started deliberately by an individual. This suspect has reportedly been taken into custody by the authorities.

While nighttime curfews have been introduced to crack down on looters.

By Friday morning, more than 10,000 buildings had been destroyed, and approximately 29,053 acres of land have been charred in what is now one of the worst disasters ever seen in Los Angeles.
