Actress Blanca Blanco provided DailyMail.com with a current status report about Malibu, following the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfires.

Blanco resides near the Getty Villa, where a house stands. Although the house itself didn’t catch fire, the greenery surrounding it did.

Blanca expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m thankful that the house didn’t collapse,” and continued, “I realize now more than ever just how fortunate I am to be among the ones spared.

Things have become very strained in the area, said the Eye For Eye actress.

She mentioned that she recently visited a grocery store and found that many items were scarce on the shelves. It proved challenging to locate bottled water, and there was only a small selection of bread, although an abundance of pasta and condiments were available. Additionally, there has been an ongoing shortage of eggs due to the bird flu, which has persisted for several weeks.

Grocery stores like Pavilions in Malibu are still open.

Additionally, finding safe drinking water has turned into a source of stress, leading some residents to boil their water prior to consumption.

Then there are the looters that continue to prowl the neighborhood.

She mentioned that she need to boil every water she drinks, which does take some time, but she considers herself fortunate to have a home.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power issued a water advisory for the Pacific Palisades and neighboring areas north of San Vicente Boulevard because of heavy ash, debris, and changes in water pressure.

In response to the Pacific Palisades wildfire, a notice was issued by the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) and State Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water, advising residents in the 90272 zip code and neighboring communities within LADWP’s service area north of San Vicente Blvd., to utilize boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes until further notice. This advisory is due to a drop in water pressure within the water distribution system, caused by increased water usage.

Consumers were advised to heed the suggestion as a precautionary measure, while LADWP staff worked on restoring pressure in the system and testing water quality to ensure its safety.

The notice indicated that potentially harmful germs like viruses, parasites, and bacteria might be found in the water. Exposure to this water could lead to symptoms such as nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and accompanying headaches.

Blanca also reported that she has seen opportunists in Malibu.

According to Blanco, many young men on motorcycles with backpacks were seen traveling along the streets, presumably searching for valuable items.

‘This place seems rather sparse, leaving me uncertain about what they’re hoping to discover. However, I spotted a man exiting the remnants of a house with a seemingly undamaged metal box in hand. It could very well be a safety deposit box.’

Looting has been taking place in the area and there have been 20 arrests so far.

This comes a week after the Finding Nicole actress posed in a red bikini on Malibu beach.

She did a shoot with Filip Shobot for DailyMail.com

‘I was near some of the homes that burned down to the ground,’ she said choking up.

It’s heartbreaking to witness such a beautiful shoreline being destroyed, and it breaks my heart even more to see so many people who care deeply about it.

Blanco plans on leaving the area to stay with a friend outside of the city.
