55-year-old Jeremy Clarkson, once a prominent figure on Top Gear, had been making every effort to preserve his 28-year-long marriage. However, just yesterday, they officially declared that their separation is permanent.
In the approaching legal dispute over their divorce, it’s said that Mindy, aged 59, intends to retain ownership of the £7million Bollitree Castle located in Herefordshire.
After their separation, it’s been reported that Richard relocated from his converted barn, which he used as a storage space for his motorcycles, to a rental home in a neighboring village. Now, he operates his “Smallest Cog” auto restoration business there.
The surprising revelation occurs as sources close to the situation allege that Richard, father of Isabella, 24, and Willow, 22 (both shared with Mindy), has grown progressively difficult to cohabit with over the past few years, allegedly due to complications arising from two severe car accidents he survived.
Eight years prior to their public announcement of divorce, Mindy had made it clear to Richard that he was at a critical point, with only one more opportunity left.
In the year 2006, he ended up being admitted to the hospital following a high-speed crash involving a Vampire Dragster, which exceeded 200 mph. During the recording of a segment for Top Gear, he was placed into a coma.
In the second season of The Grand Tour, which was eleven years after the initial broadcast, Richard had an accident while driving a Rimac Concept One during a hill-climb event held in Switzerland.
He rolled the car several times and fractured his knee.
A source shared with the Mail that Richard has faced significant hardships, and the repercussions from the accidents have strained his relationship.
Considering the immense scale of the accidents and their profound physical and mental effects, it’s impressive that he has managed to bounce back and return to his regular life so effectively.

In 2022, Richard detailed the effects of the accidents on him, expressing that his most significant worry was the temporary memory loss he’d experienced.
He mentioned that his left knee has been fixed with screws and metal plates, and he’s been advised not to run on it as it needs a replacement.
‘It’s putting off that replacement because they only last so long.
‘I just decided “bugger it”. It might last another ten years but I’ll be unhealthy and unhappy.
‘Whereas if I run on it, it will only probably only last five years but I will be healthy and happy
‘It hurts when it’s cold, it’s killing me this morning.
‘My short term memory is not what it was.
‘It’s got worse.
‘My working memory, if I’m in the studio, memorising a script it’s great – works fine.
I have a strong ability to remember things over the long term, but when it comes to events that occurred two weeks ago or less, I’m unfortunately not very clear on those details.
On Thursday, Richard disclosed that he and his partner have parted ways. In a statement, they expressed that they will continue to be present in each other’s lives.
He said: “Just wanted to share some news with you; over the Christmas period, we were all together as one big family. This year, our family structure might change slightly.
Our union is drawing to a close, yet we’ve shared an extraordinary 28 years and have brought into the world two outstanding daughters whom we are incredibly proud of.
‘We will always be in each other’s lives and are proud of the family we created.
We’re choosing not to say more for now, but kindly ask that our personal space, including our children’s, is given due consideration during this period. Warmest regards, Richard and Mindy.
After Richard was spotted on New Year’s Eve, sipping a pint of Guinness at a pub in Hereford, without his wife by his side.
During their visit to the Wye Inn, the host of The Grand Tour enthusiastically posed for photos with fans. However, it wasn’t lost on bystanders that he was there without his family present.
According to a source, Richard dropped by for a peaceful drink with some friends and colleagues from his Smallest Cog Workshop.
‘His garage is well known for restoring classic cars and he is clearly sticking close to home.’
The division took the locals by surprise. A person who’s resided in this community for a decade recalls casually running into the host at the local grocery store.
‘It’s truly unfortunate when a marriage ends, and it does tug at my heartstrings for them. Frequently, I’d run into him at Morrisons, and he was always open to conversations. He’s quite renowned and regularly spotted around town.’
Another resident said she met when he took his daughters Izzy and Willow to a local pony club.
She mentioned that they formed a very tight-knit family, which dates back several years since their daughters have grown. Their residence is well-known within the community, as they’ve been an integral part of it ever since they purchased the castle.
