Inside Lorna Luxe’s new home: Influencer, 43, gives followers another glimpse of her breathtaking new £2m ‘invisible’ property with a special link to late husband John, 64

Lorna Luxe shared more photos of her new £2 million rental home, after having to move out of her previous place suddenly.

The 43-year-old influencer and her late husband, John, previously lived in the well-known £2.5 million Ghost House, but they were forced to move out last year due to flooding.

John and Lorna purchased the property in 2023, and they were thrilled to plan renovations, especially redesigning the bathrooms. Sadly, John passed away before they had a chance to move back and begin the project.

After a several-year fight with advanced adrenal cancer, the former banker passed away in February, peacefully held by his wife, Lorna.

The couple had been renting another place for the past year, but Lorna explained to her followers that they had to move out suddenly. Returning to their previous home, known as Ghost House, isn’t an option yet, as renovations won’t be completed until at least August.

Lorna is giving her 1.8 million followers a look inside her new rental home, which is near where she used to live with John. She’s highlighted the amazing kitchen and the glass hallways, which offer beautiful views of the trees.

She shared that John would have been proud of her for finally getting the house in order. It had been a really difficult process, but she and her dog, Kev Bear, were very happy in their new home, which was a big improvement over their previous rental.

Adding: ‘I’ve whacked all my stuff in storage so it’s a bit disorientating for Kev-bear.

We arrived with just the essentials – clothes, a corkscrew, and a kettle. Moving out of our previous home wasn’t planned, so it’s been a bit overwhelming, but I know John would be proud of me for managing it and finding a great new place for Bear and me, even if it’s just temporary.

Interestingly, the house she currently lives in was designed by the same firm – BPN Architects – that created Ghost House, and shares a similar style.

Ghost House is a striking, 5,000-square-foot home built entirely of bare concrete, resembling a James Bond villain’s hideout. You enter through a dark, mirror-like pool.

The ground floor is entirely dedicated to the master bedroom, featuring a concrete design, a private bathroom used only by Lorna, and a home cinema.

The new house is designed to blend into its surroundings and appears as a single-story home made up of seven separate, interconnected sections spread across the property.

Each pod is joined together by a glazed corridor, creating a sequence of connected rooms.

Lorna explained that John left her a set of safety instructions for after his death, and these included a request that she not wear the engagement ring he’d given her – a 15-carat ring.

She keeps it hidden at a different location to protect her from becoming a target.

John and Lorna met when Lorna was 25 years old. She was working as a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic at the time, a job she held for eight years.

He left his job in banking to help her create a business, and even though they started with £300,000 of debt, he was completely confident in her ability to succeed.

Lorna has also revealed she was considering having children after John’s tragic death.

In her first interview since her husband’s death, she spoke about their happy and luxurious life together, and explained their decision not to have children.

She explained that they had tried to start a family soon after getting married, when she was 26. When she wasn’t able to get pregnant, she decided to concentrate on building her career instead.

Looking back on her decision, she recalled repeatedly wondering, “Should we have addressed this earlier? Maybe I should get it checked out?”

Then John became sick, which really changed things. I try not to think about how different things could have been, but lately I’ve been considering freezing my eggs – I even asked my Botox doctor about it.

She explained to The Times that she’s used to making decisions with someone else, but now she has to make major choices on her own.

John received a diagnosis of a rare cancer in 2023. He went into remission, but unfortunately the cancer came back in 2024 and spread to his brain.

The wealthy banker experienced organ failure due to complications from his chemotherapy and developed sepsis just before Christmas. His family was warned to expect the worst, but he was able to return home and spend Christmas Day with his loved ones. He sadly passed away on February 11th.

Just weeks after her husband passed away from cancer, Lorna found it very difficult to stay composed as she prepared to return to their large home in Warwickshire, a place filled with memories they shared.

Lorna had to return to the house in Warwickshire for an update, but without her husband, John. She described the trip as ‘bittersweet,’ acknowledging the mixed emotions of being there without him.

I need to act as John and go to Ghost House shortly for the regular meeting to check on how the site is progressing.

The contractors on site will explain their plans to me, and then I’ll have a chance to suggest any changes I think are needed.

‘We were both so excited to get back to there. Very bittersweet this.’

In a follow-up post, she seemed emotional as she described her upcoming trip home to check on the renovation, which is now several months behind schedule after originally being planned to take six months.

She explained that she had a full day ahead of her. She was heading to Ghost House soon, and there was a major meeting planned where the team involved in the rebuild would share their progress, discuss next steps, and assess how well the project was staying on schedule.

They’re saying I’ll finally get the house back in August, which will be a year after John and I moved out. It was originally supposed to take six months, so it’s taking much longer than expected, but I’m hopeful I’ll be really pleased with the finished result.

It’ll be great to be home; I’m really starting to miss it. I’m not sure what the next few months hold, so I’m trying not to worry about it, but I’m planning to move back in August.
