Julianne Moore, 62, flaunts her flawless complexion as she goes make-up free in New York City
As an obsessed fan who has followed Julianne Moore’s remarkable career since her soap opera days, I am always in awe of her talent and resilience. Seeing her stroll through NYC with that radiant, makeup-free glow, sipping on a green smoothie amidst the hustle and bustle, feels like a glimpse into the life of an ordinary woman who just happens to be an extraordinary actress.
Julianne Moore showed off her flawless complexion on a make-up free stroll in NYC on Tuesday.
In a gray hooded coat, shielding herself from the early cold in New York City, the actress (age 62) who shares screen time with Tilda Swinton in The Room Next Door, braved the morning chill.
The Oscar-winner wore her signature red locks down with a baseball cap.
She sipped on a green smoothie during a rare moment of downtime amid her hectic schedule.
As a devoted admirer, I was thrilled to share the recent news about the actress, who was recognized for her exceptional portrayal of a woman assisting a friend through the challenges of stage three cancer in The Room Next Door. In an exclusive interview with Elle magazine, she expressed her heartfelt feelings upon receiving her initial Academy Award nomination.
In the year 1998, she received her first acknowledgment for her part in Boogie Nights, and her eldest son, Caleb, who is about to celebrate his 27th birthday, was newly born at that time.
She shares Caleb and younger sister Liv, 22, with husband, director Bart Freundlich, 54.
She mentioned that it was quite intriguing for her since she had her hands full during that period, between taking care of the baby and managing her own life,” (paraphrased sentence).
‘I had a treadmill in my garage and I went into my garage and I ran on the treadmill and then boom, the nomination came in and I was like “I just got nominated for an Oscar. Like, I can’t believe it.”‘
‘It was just really, really shocking,’ she explained.
She attributed the movie “Safe” with shaping the course of her professional journey. Prior to being cast in the Todd Haynes drama, where she portrayed a woman whose life changes dramatically after she develops multiple chemical sensitivities, she had spent about a decade predominantly acting in television and off-Broadway productions, as well as smaller projects.
Moore expressed that the particular characteristic significantly influenced his approach towards work. It not only transformed how others viewed him, but also marked the commencement of his successful journey in the film industry.
The Titian-haired beauty said when other women see her on screen, she hopes they ‘see themselves.’
In my opinion, visiting the cinema allows us to find reflections of ourselves, witness narratives that mirror our lives, and essentially validate our shared human vulnerabilities. When we identify with a character, when we recognize aspects of ourselves on screen, it gives us a sense of understanding… or at least, this is what I personally experience.
As a die-hard admirer, I can barely contain my excitement! You see, this multi-skilled actress is not just a thespian, but also a gifted musician. And here’s the best part: She’s set to display her melodious talents in an upcoming, as-yet-unnamed musical comedy, starring none other than Jesse Eisenberg! I can hardly wait for this magical blend of laughter and music!
The Mary and George star is returning to television again in the Netflix series Sirens.
The upcoming show is adapted from Molly Smith Metzler’s 2011 stage production, “Elemeno Pea.” It features stars like Kevin Bacon and Meghann Fahy, with a projected release date on the streaming platform in 2025.
