As a seasoned viewer and avid fan of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, I can’t help but feel a twinge of empathy for our beloved celebrities as they bravely face the harsh Australian weather. Having watched countless seasons, I’ve come to understand that the jungle isn’t just a playground; it’s a battleground, where the elements test the resolve of even the most resilient stars.
Last night, it was GK Barry who took on the Bushtucker Trial first among celebrities, but now, her camp mates are dealing with trials of their own, as they struggle against the challenging Australian climate.
A terrifying downpour of thunder, lightning, and torrential rain descended upon the jungle, marking the initial challenging weather conditions for the celebrities who were spending the night outdoors under the tree canopy.
Coleen Rooney, aged 39, formerly a judge on X-Factor, Tulisa Contostavlos, aged 36, and veteran boxer Barry McGuigan, aged 63, are currently attempting to find rest amidst heavy rainfall. The storm is expected to subside at 4am (AEDT).
Following the release of severe weather alerts and uncommon storm advisories last week, there was anticipation that these events would lead to disruption during this year’s event.
According to insiders at ITV, there were worries before last night’s premiere about how the continuous rain could potentially spoil and even destroy the entire series.

Although it was sunny during the weekend, it’s predicted that Australia’s Gold Coast will still be battered by persistent rain.
In a downpour, an insider near the recent event shared with TopMob that if the celebrities were present currently, they’d likely be overwhelmed by the water.
It seems the rainforest encampment isn’t equipped to handle such heavy rainfall; everyone is anxiously monitoring the forecast, as conditions appear unfavorable for the ongoing events in this series.
I’ve always hated rainy days, especially when they ruin outdoor events like picnics or concerts. The dampness just seems to seep into everything and put a damper on my spirits. It’s like nature is conspiring against me, trying to ruin my plans and spoil the fun. Rainy days always seem to remind me of missed opportunities and lost moments, making them feel even more frustrating.
Persistent downpours dampened the spirits of the campers, with Grace Dent, a renowned food critic at 51, and Jamie-Lynn, the sibling of pop sensation Britney Spears, choosing to depart from the program prematurely.
Later, it became clear that Ms. Spears had departed following an extended period where the campmates were compelled to take shelter in the confined Bush Telegraph hut due to harsh, rainy conditions.
Should the present circumstances persist, there’s a strong possibility that celebrities may need to be evacuated for safety reasons, much like what happened in past events.
2019 saw the camp being evacuated because of heavy rainstorms and flooding, during which Jacqueline Jossa emerged victorious and Caitlyn Jenner was among the participants. As a result, some parts of the program had to be postponed or discontinued.
In 2015, I had to advise evacuation due to the interruption of our camp’s power supply, caused by approaching storms, which unfortunately took our cameras offline as well.
