As a die-hard fan of Kesha and her magnificent journey, I simply can’t contain my excitement upon witnessing the incredible bond between mother and daughter! The sight of Kesha and Pebe Sebert together is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.
On Thursday, Kesha and her seldom-seen mother, Pebe Sebert, shared the stage in an electrifying performance during “A Night of 1000 Keshas” charity event held at club Beaches Tropicana in California.
In a striking fashion, the creator of the Tik Tok sensation showcased a notably long-legged appearance while delighting the crowd by inserting dollar bills into the semi-transparent, white body-hugging dress she wore.
With a graffitied black bag labeled “B***h” and a pair of white shoes, the star struck a pose in a photo alongside her mother.
Born in Tennessee, Pebe has the distinction of being a singer-songwriter who has collaborated on chart-topping songs with musical luminaries such as Dolly Parton, Pitbull, and her child Kesha.
And the star beamed beside her daughter as she wowed in a colourful tropical print floaty dress.
The pair attended a fundraiser for The Magic Mission’s ‘Slay and Neuter’ campaign to rescue street animals in Central America.
Previously, Kesha and Pebe collaborated on some of Kesha’s music, with Pebe contributing to the production of her return album “Rainbow,” which was released in 2017.
The pair collaborated on composing the songs “Hymn” and “Learn to Let Go”, along with a duet featuring Kesha and Dolly Parton titled “Old Flames Can’t Keep a Lit Candle Nearby”.
Previously, the artist from the We R Who We R group praised Pebe as a hardworking single mother who provided a fantastic upbringing despite limited financial resources.
The Right Round singer shared, “I had no idea that we weren’t as well-off as others while growing up.
She noted that ‘we do turn into our mothers, [whether] we like it or not,’ but she strives to ‘inherit her [mother’s] open heart and beautiful soul.’
Following Spotify’s announcement that the singer, aged 37, is set to release her unique interpretation of Lindsey Buckingham’s “Holiday Road” for their yearly compilation of singles, this latest event transpired.
The cover will be available to stream on Spotify starting at midnight on October 15.
According to Spotify’s Talia Kraines, speaking with Billboard, Kesha has refreshed an ’80s hit tune that wasn’t originally a holiday song, making it relevant for today. We had high expectations for her rendition, and she certainly delivers a captivating performance.
She went on to say: ‘Her singing reminds me of The Go-Gos or The Bangles. It seems like an extraordinary year for Kesha, and we’re excited to be involved – she’s regaining her happiness and asserting her unique sound.’
Alongside Kesha’s version of Holiday Road, other Spotify Singles set for release include Dasha’s Driving Home for Christmas, River by Max Richter, a rendition of Run Rudolph Run by Mark Ambor, and Miel San Marcos’ Emmanuel.
Kesha’s upcoming holiday single comes after teaming up with Charli XCX on her new Brat remix album.
The Praying hitmaker appears on the British singer’s track, Spring breakers featuring Kesha.
