Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and brother Jason roast her bestie Blake Lively on podcast
As I delve into the world of Hollywood and its captivating narratives, I find myself drawn to the heartwarming tale of Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, and their significant others. Their lives have taken a turn towards camaraderie, as they recently embarked on a movie club adventure featuring the beloved ‘Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants’.
Taylor Swift’s partner, Travis Kelce, along with his sibling, Jason, chose to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants for the very first time together.
In the latest episode of our New Heights podcast, released on Thursday, my dedicated partner and I expressed our thoughts about the 2005 film that features none other than my dear friend Blake Lively, aged 37 at the time.
The pair found humor in certain parts of the film, with Jason, aged 36, commenting jokingly, “A large portion of this movie seems to be Bridget (Blake) sprinting. I must confess, it doesn’t appear to be the swift stride of a professional athlete.” Blake, I adore you, it doesn’t evoke an image of a top-tier runner in me.
Travis, aged 35, sporting a new mullet, chuckled and commented, “She has impressive stamina, considering she’s both running and speaking. If I were in her shoes, I’d be completely winded and struggling to get my words out while running like that.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: “John marveled at her stamina, quipping, ‘She runs so much she winds up at a soccer camp in Mexico! Now, let me tell you, there’s no way my teenager Wyatt is jet-setting off to a Mexican soccer camp when she turns 17.’
In the movie, although they playfully teased Lively, they genuinely commended her ‘outstanding’ acting, with Travis humorously admitting that he could have had a slight bias towards her since she’s friends with his girlfriend.
Jason mentioned that the movie wasn’t terrible, but found it challenging to connect with the characters. However, he was impressed by the quality of the acting in the film, which he considered quite remarkable given its context. Overall, he felt the production was solid.
In the meantime, Travis playfully remarked that this would be the final occasion when their fans would decide the movie they’d all watch together.
Jason mentioned that he felt somewhat disappointed that the specific pair of jeans didn’t have a more significant part in the storyline.
In my own words, I might express it this way: “I hadn’t quite grasped the significance of the symbol; it seemed as if they had done nothing to show their friendship. Then, Kylie gently pointed out that it represented their constant companionship, and upon her explanation, everything became clear.
Jason, too, confessed to empathizing with Blake’s character and stated that her tale was the most heart-rending one portrayed in the movie.
He said of her love interest and coach Eric (Mike Vogel): ‘He’s about as evil as it gets. He literally tells her, “When you turn 20 years old, give me a call.” What are we doing?… I felt terrible for Bridget, she got taken advantage of.’
He also shared he ‘teared up’ at some parts of the movie.
‘I wasn’t full crying. I don’t think other people knew I was crying, but I knew.’
In 2005, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” made its debut, drawing inspiration from the book of the identical title penned by Ann Brashares.
Aside from Lively, it also stars Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn and America Ferrera.
These four closest friends devise a unique strategy to maintain their bond even as their individual journeys take them down separate paths: they share a pair of well-fitting, pre-owned jeans among themselves, according to IMDb.
Three years after the initial film’s triumph, another installment named “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2” hit the screens in 2008.
In the previous week, Travis and Jason launched their initial film club series with “The New Heights” being the premier episode, an announcement they made earlier in October.
As a lifestyle guru, I can’t help but laugh at the influx of romantic films that seem to be dominating our movie lineup lately, thanks to Taylor Swift’s devoted fan base. It appears we have quite a few ‘Swifties’ eager to sway us towards watching less-than-stellar movies… Even Twilight had its vampires!
For quite some time, Taylor (age 34) and Blake have enjoyed a close friendship. Notably, Blake has accompanied Taylor to several of his concerts as a popular music artist.

They also mentioned that ‘Taylor and Travis are deeply devoted and sincere regarding their upcoming plans. Taylor is prepared to embark on a new phase in her life. She understands that this period will be extraordinary.’
