Amanda Holden reveals first-look sneak peek at Britain’s Got Talent’s 2024 judging panel as Bruno Tonioli is replaced by Youtuber KSI

As someone who has been following Britain’s Got Talent for quite some time now, it’s always a pleasure to see the camaraderie and transparency among the judges. Simon, Amanda, and Jamie have a unique chemistry that makes the show even more enjoyable.

Amanda Holden recently shared a preliminary glimpse of the 2024 judging lineup for Britain’s Got Talent, following Bruno Tonioli’s departure and the addition of KSI to the panel.

53-year-old veteran show judge struck a playful backstage selfie with Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and online personality known as KSI (whose full name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji).

In the initial broadcast on Tuesday, it’s thought that YouTuber KSI took over from Bruno Tonioli as he’s currently busy with the U.S. equivalent of “Strictly Come Dancing,” called “Dancing With The Stars.

As a devoted fan, it appears that KSI has seamlessly found his footing from the get-go, with speculation suggesting he’s already been granted the coveted golden buzzer for his tenure on the panel.

KSI will star on the talent show judge panel just three of the five first round audition days.

According to a source, the management wanted KSI to take on the role of a regular judge, as he was set to fill in for multiple days.

This implies that there will be an additional act this year who receives the Golden Buzzer. Additionally, the other judges and hosts, Ant and Dec, will have their chance to use it as well.

‘It will no doubt make the finals more exciting, to see which judge is best at picking a winner.’

It is believed that the content creator was brought in to attract younger audiences. 

A source told The Sun in 2023: ‘Simon Cowell knows KSI is a huge hit with the younger generation.

He could significantly help attract young audience members, which is a goal the production team is eager to achieve.

KSI is discussing potential deals with higher-ups, aiming to find an arrangement that fits well with his busy timetable.

Initially, when it was just a rumor that KSI would be part of the panel, Simon, who is 65 years old, had to silence speculations that Bruno was being permanently dismissed.

It was verified last year that the Italian choreographer is set to return the following year, despite conflicts in schedules; however, it was acknowledged that a substitute would be necessary under certain circumstances.

On Heart Radio, the music magnate clarified, “I wouldn’t step into his shoes. I admire Bruno on that program.

Simon clarified that Bruno faced an issue with his timetable, so another performer stepped in to cover some of the auditions Bruno couldn’t make.

Host Jamie Theakston posed a question to the celebrity: “Let me share a title from today’s newspaper with you, Simon… ‘It seems Britain’s Got Talent might be parting ways with judge, Bruno’

As Simon confessed the headline was false, Jamie pressed: ‘Okay, well, what of that isn’t truth?

Simon explained: ‘Seriously. I spoke to… I don’t know where all this stuff comes from. I spoke to the producers literally two weeks ago about there is a scheduling issue with Bruno. 

Since we have the auditions scheduled this year, it means he will be in America during that time.

Well, perhaps someone else might step in for him, though it’s uncertain. Nevertheless, I adore Bruno on the program; I believe he’s absolutely fantastic.

Fellow judge Amanda agreed as she added: ‘He brings such an amazing energy and he knows so much.’

Simon remarked, “He truly knows his subject matter and excels at it. In truth, he’s an exceptionally intelligent and kind judge. Absolutely not; I wouldn’t consider replacing him.

‘So… Bruno’s coming back?’ asked Jamie as Simon confirmed once and for all: ‘He’s coming back.’

Jamie then asked: ‘Have you approached Alan Carr?’ as Simon replied: ‘No, Amanda wants Alan.’ 

Jamie inquired about the level of influence she has, to which Simon promptly responded negatively, saying ‘None’, while Amanda expressed her lack of control by exclaiming ‘I have no input’.

Jamie then joked: ‘Is Amanda coming back?’ as Simon teased: ‘Well, look, let’s celebrate her past.

‘I want to say how much Amanda has brought to the show over the years. I mean, seriously and it will be… it won’t be easy to replace you but I just want to say publicly thank you.’

Amanda added: ‘Thank you, Simon. It’s been an absolute pleasure.’

‘We’ve had fun! I’ve had 18 years of you looking after the mortgage. So thank you.’

Simon expressed sincerely: “May I speak openly with you? Frankly, I have no desire to alter the judging panel. To me, it’s similar to your show – it’s number one. Therefore, why should I change Britain’s Got Talent?
