Giovanni Pernice announces new 2025 dancing tour Together Again with pal Anton Du Beke – after he was cleared of majority of bullying allegations in BBC probe
As a die-hard fan of dance and all things Strictly Come Dancing, I’ve been following the latest developments with bated breath! The recent news about Giovanni and Anton’s upcoming tour has me absolutely thrilled – it’s like my birthday and Christmas rolled into one!
Giovanni Pernice has unveiled plans for his upcoming dance tour in 2025, titled “Together Again,” which he will perform alongside his longtime friend Anton Du Beke.
Moving forward in his career aspirations, the ex-Strictly professional, aged 34, has found himself in a more favorable position following the clearing of most bullying accusations directed at him during a recent investigation by the BBC.
Six accusations of bullying made by Amanda Abbington, one of his previous acting partners, were found to be valid – following a string of such allegations she brought forth during the show’s previous season.
The corporation apologized to the 50-year-old actress from Sherlock, who felt validated by the inquiry, although Giovanni was found not guilty on eleven out of seventeen charges.)

The six-month investigation of the star, currently gracing the stage in the Italian adaptation of the program, has concluded. Recently, Giovanni expressed his wish to move past a particularly challenging year.
In an Instagram video, Giovanni expressed his joy upon discovering that none of the severe accusations against him were proven true.

Recently, Anton openly discussed his challenging experiences with his dance partner on Strictly following his show of solidarity for Giovanni amidst the allegations of misconduct.
The experienced dancer and critic, aged 58, was teamed up with stars including Ruth Langsford, Ann Widdecombe, Lesley Joseph, and Esther Rantzen.
Anton found himself caught up in a controversy following allegations that stemmed from his expressed worries about his actions towards his previous dancing partner, Laila Rouass, which were deemed reminiscent of the 1970s.
Currently, he maintains that his Strictly dance studio was never excessively warm, as he typically partnered with elderly women who were naturally less skilled dancers.
In a conversation at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, I humbly shared that, to my kindest interpretation, not one among them was 25 years old. Later on, I expressed that while their abilities might be commendable, their dancing, unfortunately, often falls short of being delightful.
Anton shared some additional details about his celebrity partners at the festival, which is co-sponsored by The Times and The Sunday Times. He described them as remarkable, captivating, exceptional, talented, amusing, and insightful individuals whom he enjoyed spending every moment with. However, he acknowledged the situation as it stands.
‘I said to one of my partners, ‘Are you flexible’. They said, ‘Yes but I can’t do Tuesdays’,’ he said, adding that all he wanted was for them to ‘try their best. That is as much as you can do.’
Anton appeared unperturbed following his inclusion as the ‘fourth individual implicated in the investigation of misconduct’ earlier this year.
In the 2009 competition, he made contestant Laila, who has Indian and Moroccan heritage, cry with his joke about her appearance after a spray tan, saying she looked like a “P***”. This joke was recently brought up again.
Anton expressed regret to Laila immediately and owned up to feeling both foolish and ashamed about his remarks towards the actress. They managed to reconcile a few weeks after that incident.
