When Artem exclaimed that he had taken Matteo upstairs for safety reasons, Matteo appeared terrified by the mention of divorce.
Artem asserts that Nikki pursued him and Matteo into the bedroom, trying to push the door open forcefully as Artem kept it closed, with a distressed Matteo standing nearby.
According to his account, he claims he found a way to squeeze out a space in the door and leave, aiming to safeguard Matteo. However, Nikki forcefully entered the room, resulting in a physical altercation between them, which eventually ended up with both of them tumbling onto the floor.
Artem claims he managed to escape and called 911, informing the dispatcher of the situation.
He claims Nikki accused him of ruining her career during their confrontation.
According to Nikki’s statement, Chigvintsev allegedly tackled her several times and restrained her on the ground in front of their child, during a disagreement that occurred over breakfast.
She asserted that Chigvintsev grew progressively irritable, barking remarks at her and raising his voice, following his omission from Dancing With The Stars for season 33.
Nikki claims she had previously discussed Artem’s anger issues with him.
On August 29th, she claims he grew enraged about the correct way to toast their son Matteo’s English muffin, shouting at her and accusing her of Matteo being a finicky eater.
In an outburst of frustration, I confessed to chucking a shoe at Artem. I emphasized that the shoe was too petite to inflict any harm on him. Later, I asserted that he escorted Matteo upstairs, which eventually led to a heated exchange at the bedroom door, culminating in Artem tackling me.

More recently, Nikki detailed an occurrence in the summer of 2023, during which Artem is said to have held her back by grabbing her waist when she was trying to approach their young child. Additionally, she stated that he verbally abused her on this occasion.

The court issued an order that prevents Artem from reaching out to or getting near Nikki, Matteo, or their residence, unless it’s for mandated visits. Additionally, Nikki requested and was given approval for traveling with Matteo to London for a fresh undertaking.
But the judge ‘denied the request until a full hearing is held on October 21,’ TMZ reported.
According to their report on Thursday, Artem has been absent from the family’s residence in Napa since the event that occurred on August 29th.
The judge won’t issue a ‘move-out directive’ before the court hearing scheduled for October 21st.
