Travis Kelce speaks out on day leaked ‘contract’ claimed he was going to announce split from Taylor Swift
As someone who has followed Travis Kelce’s career since his days at the University of Cincinnati, I can’t help but feel a twinge of nostalgia every time I see him back on the gridiron. His passion for football is as palpable now as it was then, and his camaraderie with teammates like Patrick Mahomes is a testament to their enduring bond.
On the same day that a purported contract suggesting a breakup between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift was leaked, he decided to discuss football on social media instead.
According to general belief, the contract appears to be a forgery. Moreover, Kelce’s representatives have swiftly labeled it as completely untrue and fabricated. However, the document allegedly stated that the pair would declare their separation on September 28th.
The specified separation date as outlined in the potential agreement has come and gone with little fuss, and no reports suggesting a parting of ways have surfaced yet.
On Saturday, Kelce expressed his dissatisfaction over a recent football game on Twitter, directing a tweet at his teammate, the quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
‘Really thought the bearcats were gonna find a way to win that one at the end…,’ he wrote on X before adding the acronym for ‘shaking my head.’
Pat Mahomes playfully taunted Travis Kelce by posting a GIF of Raider Red, the mascot from Texas Tech University, after the team Mahomes was rooting for, the Red Raiders, managed to defeat Kelce’s team, the Cincinnati Bearcats, in a thrilling match with a score of 44-41 on Saturday.
That particular day, it seemed like Kelce was simply enjoying a college football match alongside his Kansas City Chiefs teammate.
He made no mention of his girlfriend nor the contract that alleged their ‘PR relationship’ would end and the pair would announce a split on September 28.
Earlier this month, a photo of the aforementioned contract from his PR company was leaked.
Initially shared on Reddit, the document contained a comprehensive strategy for announcing their split by the end of the month through an official declaration.
The leaked ‘contract‘ has since been branded ‘entirely false and fabricated’ by Kelce’s camp.
His representatives asserted they engaged legal professionals to identify the individual responsible for the alleged ‘illegal and damaging falsification of records.’
A day later, on a Sunday afternoon, Kelce was seen walking into the SoFi Stadium before the Chiefs faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Even though spectators eagerly anticipated seeing them together again, following their reported split, she was absent from the game in Atlanta over the weekend, and likewise, failed to attend his match in Los Angeles.
This also marks a year since the pair confirmed and shared their highly publicized romance with the world.
On September 24, 2023, the Grammy-winning singer attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game.
Following the AFC championship match last season, Swift made his way onto the field to offer congratulations to the tight end, who could potentially return to the Super Bowl if he and his teammates prevail in their Week 4 encounter, by giving him a kiss.
