Is Nobody Wants This getting a season 2?

As a seasoned gamer and a hopeless romantic who has spent countless hours navigating virtual worlds and virtual relationships, I must say that Nobody Wants This has truly captured my heart. The chemistry between Adam Brody and Kristen Bell is undeniably palpable, and their characters’ journey felt relatable yet unique in its own way.

Nobody Wants This spoilers follow.

The conclusion of “Nobody Wants This” has sparked a desire for more, leading us to ponder if the Netflix romantic comedy will come back with a second season.

In the last episode, Noah (Adam Brody) and Joanne (Kristen Bell) solidified their bond by sharing a kiss, following Joanne’s hesitation regarding her readiness to convert to Judaism.

Despite being deeply in love with Noah, she was equally evident. His feelings for her were also strong. Yet, Noah had long harbored a dream to ascend as the head rabbi at his synagogue. Previously, this position had been hinted to him by his predecessor that he would need to marry within the Jewish faith in order to secure it. Additionally, his romantic relationship might hinder his nomination for the role.

It appeared for some time that he might allow Joanne to leave without a second thought. Just moments before exiting the bat mitzvah, she expressed her doubts about their future plans, which may have implied leaving him permanently, perhaps for good.

Afterward, we observed a dejected Noah being showered with congratulations from the congregation, as word spread about his impending promotion. However, even though he had obtained everything he’d allegedly desired, it held little significance to him knowing that he would now be climbing that ladder without Joanne by his side.

Similarly, even though Joanne had been advised not to go with him, she couldn’t conceal her displeasure when the delay in her bus home was due to a spontaneous participant rather than her partner chasing after her unexpectedly.

Just like a classic romantic comedy scene unfolding, as soon as she stepped off the bus at her usual stop, Noah was already there, ready to greet her. The dramatic moment ensued, leading them to share another kiss, this time one that might just spark their new beginning.

Then the credits rolled. The End.

Did Noah and Joanne stay together at the end of Nobody Wants This?

Despite not showing them resolving the hurdles they might encounter, the ending of “Nobody Wants This” suggests that the couple would stay together no matter what, given that love overcomes every obstacle.

Noah’s family appeared displeased with his new romance, yet Noah and Joanne were firm about their decision. Initially, Joanne’s sister Morgan (portrayed by Justine Lupe) also showed signs of unease regarding their relationship, although her reservations stemmed from distinct causes.

Initially, Morgan’s hesitations stemmed from her anxiety over potentially losing her dearest friend and collaborator, Joanne, as their podcast often revolved around Joanne’s past dating mishaps. However, things took a turn when Noah’s ex Rebecca spread false rumors about Noah, leading to a significant disagreement between the two sisters. Fortunately, by the end, Morgan joined Joanne at her bat mitzvah celebration, marking their reconciliation.

A significant unresolved matter that might be explored further in season two is the unusual bond between Noah’s brother Sasha and Morgan. While married to Esther, Sasha maintained a secret friendship with Morgan, which was revealed in the last episode. This hidden relationship could become an intriguing plot point.

Is there going to be a season 2 of Nobody Wants This on Netflix?

Currently, we don’t have any information about whether Adam Brody and Kristen Bell’s romantic comedy series will produce additional episodes.

Creator Erin Foster has revealed that the show is only slightly inspired by her own relationship, which later turned into a marriage. Therefore, if Netflix approves another season, there might be plenty of additional sources of inspiration to draw from.

As a gamer, I can’t wait to see where my favorite show “Nobody Wants This” goes next. Whether it manages to break into the Top 10 on the streaming service or even become one of Netflix’s most-watched series ever, remains to be seen. Time will unveil its fate.
