As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for trends and a rich background in fashion and culture, I must say that I find Jacob Elordi’s impact on popular culture rather fascinating. The Australian actor’s unintentional book-in-the-back-pocket trend has sparked a wave of imitation among social media users, and it’s quite intriguing to observe how such a simple action can captivate the masses.

Jacob Elordi has weighed in on a viral trend inspired by his own fashion choices.

Last year at a bookstore in Sydney Airport, the 27-year-old Australian actor was snapped holding multiple books, one of which he awkwardly stowed in his trousers’ pockets.

The actor from Euphoria is occasionally spotted carrying a unique book in the pockets of his trousers, either at airports or cafes.

After that, people using social media started emulating the Saltburn star’s fashion, trying to stuff their preferred books into the pockets of their trousers and jeans in a similar manner.

Recently, a journalist from iHeartRadio queried Jacob about the peculiar fad. His response suggested puzzlement.

‘You started an epidemic of men carrying books in their back pockets,’ said the reporter.

She inquired about your opinions regarding the book in your back pocket, stating that others might be following suit due to your influence.

‘I think people need to get out more, maybe,’ he replied.

The social media trend began almost immediately after the Hollywood star was filmed shopping for books in Sydney.

A TikTok user named George Bower captured a video of himself attempting to insert his preferred books into his pants.

He captioned his video, ‘Seeing if my favourite books pass the Jacob Elordi book-in-trouser-pocket-challenge’ before ‘trying on’ various hardcover books in his jeans pockets.

A different TikTok user, known as grandpasbookclub, was spotted in a video, donning a white shirt and navy trousers. As he turned around, he casually revealed a book tucked inside the pocket at his back.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but echo the sentiment of a fellow enthusiast who recently posted an image and tagged it, “Another day, another moment of channeling my inner Jacob Elordi.” The post garnered over 12k likes, a testament to the magnetic appeal of this Aussie heartthrob.

2018 marked the start of Elordi’s acting journey, as he made his debut in Australian films such as Swinging Safari and The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee.

A few years down the line, he moved to Los Angeles following his casting role in the well-known American teen drama, Euphoria.

As an ardent follower, I’ve had the privilege of gracing not just one but three captivating productions – two full-length films and a miniseries. Each of these works delves into distinct historical conflicts that have shaped our world in unique ways, drawing from real-life wars as their narrative backbone.

In the film “Oh, Canada,” released in May, Timothée Elordi shared the screen with Richard Gere in a deep drama that delves into the life of an individual evading the Vietnam War draft.

In addition to his role, Elordi is set to feature in the movie “On Swift Horses,” where he stars alongside the talented British actress Daisy Edgar-Jones. The plot revolves around characters who are attempting to rebuild their lives following the Korean War.

He is set to appear in an Australian miniseries titled “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” which centers around a romantic relationship between a doctor and someone else during World War II.
