Jane's Addiction cancels ENTIRE tour as Dave Navarro gives heartbreaking statement on Perry Farrell after onstage bust up

As a seasoned lifestyle expert and music enthusiast with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the ongoing saga within Jane’s Addiction is truly disheartening. It’s never easy to see such iconic bands fall apart due to internal strife, especially when it seems rooted in misunderstandings and miscommunication.

Due to a disagreement between band members Dave Navarro and Perry Farrell, Jane’s Addiction has decided to call off their entire upcoming tour.

Given persistent actions by Perry Farrell and his mental health challenges, it’s regrettably necessary for us to cancel the ongoing US tour, as stated by Navarro on Monday.

He continued: ‘Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs.’

I’m truly sorry, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we’re unable to fulfill the expectations of those fans who’ve purchased tickets. We’re struggling to find a way that both guarantees a secure environment and consistently delivers an exceptional show night after night.

Navarro signed off the statement with a heartbreaking message, adding: ‘Our hearts are broken. Dave, Eric and Stephen.’

The post comes hours after Farrell’s wife broke her silence after her husband attacked his lead guitarist, claiming the frontman was upset by being ‘drowned out’ by his bandmates playing too loudly.

As a trusted voice in lifestyle, I’d like to clarify some recent events from my perspective, following the incident that occurred on stage with Dave Navarro last Friday evening. My wife, Etty Lau, graciously shared my account of the situation on her Instagram platform.

Instead of guessing, she decided to share her personal experience of what transpired on stage. (She wrote this.)

Lau mentioned that Farrell has been dealing with persistent issues such as ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and a sore throat night after night. This has reportedly impacted his vocal abilities, leading him to feel overwhelmed by the stage’s volume, which he believes was excessively loud, causing his voice to get lost amidst the band’s sound.

Lau mentioned that there were sometimes strained relationships and hostilities among the band members, yet he believed that this wasn’t necessarily negative, as it was also what created the “spark” that made the band so vibrant.

On a Friday evening, Lau mentioned that her spouse had reached his limit due to persistent fan interruptions, as they struggled to hear him.

According to Lau, who was an initial member of the Pussycat Dolls during its dance group days, the audience in the front row began criticizing Perry because they claimed the band was too loud and they couldn’t understand him. This outburst caused Perry to become frustrated.

‘He wasn’t singing, he was screaming just be to be heard.’

Audience members noted that Farrell seemed extremely intoxicated during the Friday night performance, and some even mentioned that such behavior was not uncommon for him, given his reputation for consuming large amounts of wine while performing on stage.

Audience members noted a growing tension during the performance of “Mountain Song,” and by the time they reached “Ocean Size” three songs later, Farrell was visibly upset.

‘The band started the song Ocean before Perry was ready and did the count off,’ Lau said.

At that moment, the stage’s sound level became overwhelmingly high, making it impossible for Perry to discern anything beyond the roar and the instrument tremors. By the time the song concluded, instead of singing, he was merely shouting in an attempt to be heard above the noise.

In her final words on her Instagram post, Lau playfully took a dig at who emerged triumphant from their altercation, asserting that bassist Eric Avery clearly had the upper hand since he boldly challenged Farrell.

During the attempt to calm things down, Dave (Navarro) maintained a safe distance from Perry. Meanwhile, Dan (Cleary, a band technician), sensing the tension, quickly moved toward them and helped diffuse the situation by keeping Perry under control. According to Lau’s account, this is what happened.

Dave stepped back to retrieve his guitar. Meanwhile, Eric approached Perry from the back, near Dan, in the dim light, wrapping his arms around Perry’s neck and striking him three times in the abdomen.

Lau mentioned that Avery was quickly led aside, prior to the bassist casually strolling forward onto the stage to apologize to the audience for the concert finishing prematurely.

In the midst of the dispute, she remarked that Navarro remained charmingly composed, with an air of handsomeness and calmness. However, following the confrontation, her husband transformed into a frenzied, wild figure.

She stated that instead of calming down, Avery ended up breaking down, sobbing uncontrollably. Her interpretation was that Avery either didn’t grasp the concept of de-escalating or exploited the situation by delivering a few unfair blows to Perry.

1985 saw the establishment of a band hailing from Los Angeles, who embarked on their initial “goodbye” tour in 1991. However, tensions arose within the group, leading to the departure of member Eric Avery in 2010 under less than amicable circumstances.
