Cruz Beckham received lots of support from his family and friends as he played his biggest UK show yet with his band, The Breakers.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been keeping an eye on all the up-and-coming artists, and let me tell you, this 21-year-old singer is one to watch. He’s been traveling all over the country building buzz for his first album, and he absolutely killed it at The Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton last night – the energy was incredible!
Earlier this week, Cruz appeared visibly emotional and fought back tears while singing a song many believe is about the difficult relationship within his brother Brooklyn’s family.
He appeared much happier leaving the show, accompanied by his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, 30, who wore a tight-fitting yellow dress that showed off her figure.
Cruz’s grandparents were at the show, and his mother, Victoria, proudly watched alongside David’s parents, Ted and Sandra.
Okay, so I spotted the sweetest thing today! This incredible 76-year-old grandma, Sandra, was absolutely beaming after her grandson’s game. She was head-to-toe in his team’s gear – a signed Breakers T-shirt and baseball cap, no less! It just warmed my heart to see her showing so much support, truly the ultimate fan!
Cruz’s aunt, Joanne Beckham, 44, showed off a signed top alongside wide-leg jeans and a leather jacket.
The event appeared more cheerful than the performance on Tuesday, where Cruz had clearly been upset while performing.
The popular singer seemed unusually upset while singing the group’s new song, “Loneliest Boy,” which many believe contains hidden messages about his troubled relationship with his absent brother.
Cruz Beckham sang with his brother Romeo and parents David and Victoria cheering him on from the crowd. He stumbled a bit with the emotional lyrics, and his bandmate Dan Ewins kindly put a comforting arm around his shoulders.
The singer seemed very emotional while performing the chorus, wiping away tears with the sleeve of his shirt. The lyrics, ‘Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, it’s breaking her heart,’ clearly showed his sadness.
Earlier this month, Brooklyn upset his parents further by not acknowledging his mother on Mother’s Day, despite publicly praising his wife’s mother.
Watching from the audience at the small east London venue, his family was clearly touched by the performance. Romeo was even seen wiping away a tear as he watched from his seat.
A concert attendee told The Mirror that the singer appeared very emotional during a song, and his bandmate comforted him by putting an arm around his shoulder and playfully messing up his hair.
Many listeners believe the song details Brooklyn’s growing distance from his family.
The song continues with lines about noticing little things someone doesn’t do, and realizing it all comes down to facing life alone. It asks a poignant question: how do you go on when you have nothing left to lose?
To the loneliest boy, everyone sees potential flaws in others, and you always seem to find them, even in good people. I hope you’re hearing this: please don’t push away the friends who are trying to care for you.
The song’s chorus asks someone to admit they’re frightened and in need of comfort. It then questions whether their outward appearance reflects their true feelings, even when they’re right there in front of you.
It’s frustrating that people can’t see how distant you truly feel, especially when you appear to be right in front of them.
In January, Brooklyn published a shocking six-page statement detailing serious accusations against his family. Most notably, he claimed his wife, Nicola Peltz, had unexpectedly taken over his first dance at their wedding.
The cooking influencer posted a photo on Instagram with his mother-in-law, Claudia Heffner Peltz, and his wife, Nicola, wishing Claudia a happy birthday. He wrote that he loves her very much and hoped she had a wonderful day.
Because Claudia’s birthday was on March 12th, and this happened three days before, it felt like a deliberate action.
According to a source, Brooklyn is trying to cut off all contact with his parents, even on social media, after a very difficult and public disagreement.
Victoria, David, and his sons Romeo and Cruz all posted touching birthday messages for him, but it seems their efforts weren’t acknowledged.
According to a source, Brooklyn and Nicola regret publicly posting birthday wishes on Instagram.
Brooklyn has been working to stop these kinds of attention-grabbing public displays, but hasn’t been successful.
Last summer, they sent his parents a legal notice saying all future communication had to go through their lawyers.
Brooklyn spent the day with Nicola, who showed her a funny video of Nicola’s husband blowing out the candles on a box of doughnuts.
Okay, so he finally posted on Instagram, but only to quickly thank his wife for that amazing, heartfelt message she put out there. It’s just… frustrating! Everyone – his family – was trying to reach out, offer an olive branch, you know, mend things, and he just… acknowledged his wife’s post and ignored everything else. It’s like he’s deliberately shutting everyone out, and honestly, it breaks my heart to see! I just want them to get along!
After his parents made an effort to reach out with birthday messages, he had a new chance to mend things with his family, from whom he’d been estranged.
Despite ignoring their nostalgic pictures, birthday wishes, and constant use of his nickname ‘Buster’, he immediately replied to Nicola.
Recent updates indicate that Brooklyn is currently talking to his grandparents, Ted and Hilary, but he still isn’t communicating with his parents.
He is understood to be in regular contact with them.
