Her remarkable weight loss of 100 pounds has sparked discussions among fans, suggesting that she might be using Ozempic, a medication known for managing blood sugar levels and reducing the risk of heart issues in adults with type 2 diabetes.
While it’s not specifically intended for weight loss, certain doctors have been recommending it to individuals who are attempting to lose weight persistently.
Over the past six years, Bates has managed to shed off about 60 lbs while dealing with diabetes, a condition that runs in her family. In 2019, she shared that she’s experienced the best health she’s had in years, attributing this improvement to her weight loss efforts.
In 2003, Bates received a diagnosis of ovarian cancer, followed by a breast cancer diagnosis in 2012. Lymphedema, a condition characterized by persistent swelling usually in the limbs, may develop due to infections or cancers like those experienced by Bates.
