34-year-old socialite bought a beautiful two-story house known as Cawdor in Paddington, which they acquired together with their husband Michael Wayne in 2020 for approximately $4.3 million.
Originally belonging to abstract artist Michael Johnson and his spouse Margot, this spacious five-bedroom, three-bathroom property dates back to 1880.
After buying their house, Nadia and Michael have given it a vibrant makeover which has just been showcased in Vogue Living.
According to the Sunday Telegraph, real estate agents have eagerly sought to secure the property listing after Nadia shared with Vogue her excitement about her upcoming renovation venture.
The marketing campaign for selling the house will commence upon the return of the woman who has one child, who is now in Turkey filming for the high-end swimwear label JETS Australia.
It was also reported that the neighbouring 1870-built mansion was recently snapped up for $10.75 million.
In conversation with Vogue, Tamara Johnson, Nadia’s interior designer, revealed that the primary intention behind the Paddington renovation was to capture the unique essence and spirit of the couple.
‘They are professional and balanced people, but also love a bit of fun,’ she said.
Nadia wasn’t keen on the typical cream-colored home with travertine and wooden floors. Instead, she desired something bold and vibrant, opting for a colorful design instead of sticking to tradition.
With 2.7 metre high ceilings and heritage touches, the spacious terrace exudes luxury.
On the lower level, you’ll find a stylish fireplace made from French marble within the formal lounge area, and contemporary French doors leading to a fully-equipped modern kitchen as well as an outdoor space perfect for entertaining, accessible through those same doors.
I’m utterly smitten! On the enchanting first floor of this abode, you’ll find three lavish retreats, each perfect for a good night’s rest. But wait until you step into the master suite – it boasts an intricately designed balcony that offers a heavenly spot to bask in the sun and revel in the view!
The top level contains a contemporary loft-style bedroom with views of the city skyline.
The property is situated on a spacious 162 square meter plot and features a studio, once used by the former owner, Michael, to create his renowned landscape painting titled “Oceania.
The news comes after Nadia and Michael welcomed their first child in December.
She took to Instagram at the time to post a string of photos announcing baby Cordelia to the world.
In March of 2021, the beautiful wedding ceremony between Nadia and Michael took place at Swifts, an opulent late-Victorian Gothic Revival mansion situated in the historic district of Darling Point, Sydney, with no cost being spared.
