TEKKEN 8 Patch Notes 1.07: Character adjustments

TEKKEN 8 Patch Notes 1.07: Character adjustments

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in the world of TEKKEN, I must admit that this latest update feels like a breath of fresh air – or should I say, a hibiscus-scented breeze? The new items in the shop are always a welcome addition to my ever-growing collection. The Hibiscus Pack and The Wildfire Pack, for instance, add a vibrant touch to each character’s appearance, making them stand out even more on the battlefield.

In this latest version, you’ll notice modifications to various move combinations, bug corrections, and fresh additions to the TEKKEN Marketplace. Keep an eye out for balance adjustments for Dragunov and Nina, which will be implemented in update 1.08.

Following the updates 1.04 and 1.05 for TEKKEN 8, this latest patch doesn’t seem too substantial. As promised, the developers have primarily focused on rectifying behavioral issues, both general and character-specific. However, these corrections also subtly alter move attributes, significantly impacting gameplay dynamics against certain characters and when playing as them. Here are the complete TEKKEN 8 Patch Notes 1.07, along with a summary of the key changes.

TEKKEN 8 update 1.07: New items in the shop

If you’re a fan of different beauty products, swing by the TEKKEN Store and have a look at the latest offerings. They came in with the T8 update version 1.07.

  • Hibiscus Pack and The Wildfire Pack — costumes for each playable character.
  • Summer Set — for avatar customization.
  • Hook-and-Loop Sneakers — free TEKKEN 8 items for character customization.

Common behavior fixes in TEKKEN 8 1.07 Patch Notes

Building on enhancements introduced in TEKKEN Patch 1.06, this latest version addresses certain issues within the TEKKEN Ball mode. Prior to this update, players could engage in training while awaiting an online adversary. In this iteration, modifications have been made to the Replay system instead.

  • Find TEKKEN Ball Replays in the Online Replays section.
  • Online TEKKEN BALL matches from the Beach Area of the Fight Lounge have Replays too.
  • Your TEKKEN Ball online matches are also in the section My Replays & Tips.

As per the TEKKEN 8 Patch Notes version 1.07, this update does not alter the combat equilibrium; it merely addresses behavioral issues and bugs. Here’s a glimpse of the usual modifications displayed in the following image.

Character changes in TEKKEN 8 Patch Notes 1.07

Update 1.07 for Tekken 8 introduces notable adjustments in character behavior rather than affecting game balance. It’s crucial to be aware of these alterations, especially if you frequently use those characters. Even if they’re not your main characters, understanding these changes can give you an edge when playing against them.

Here are some moments to pay attention to.

  • Bryan: fF+3 — it is possible to defend against it with a reversal move.
  • Feng: d+2; db+1+2,2 — the hurtboxes are bigger, so there are smaller risks of whiffing these moves.
  • Hwoarang: bu+3 — the move has bigger downward hitboxes to make whiffs less common.
  • Jack-8: df+4 — the distance from the opponent is different now for a successful counter-attack.
  • Kazuya: 4~3 — floor break happens only on the last hit.
  • King: uf+3+4 — extended hurtboxes fix low whiffs.

  • Lidia: 3 during Heaven and Earth — the opponent faces forward after side and back hits. This allows proper follow-ups.
  • Raven: D during Soulzone — the move is easier to execute thanks to an adjusted input window.
