Both of Vince Gilligan’s popular shows feature not only imperfect heroes, but also truly awful villains. We see this with characters like the cruel Salamanca family and the seemingly respectable, yet corrupt, Gus Fring. Some viewers even see Walter White’s wife, Skyler, as an obstacle to his ambitions. However, when it comes to who’s most responsible for all the trouble in both series, the blame largely falls on Jimmy McGill’s brother, Chuck, brilliantly portrayed by Michael McKean.

As a huge Star Trek fan, I’ve always loved how the original series used futuristic stories to talk about real-world issues. Episodes like “Let That Be Your Last Battlefield” really made you think about prejudice, and “A Private Little War” felt like a clear message about the Vietnam War. So many episodes just dug deep into what it means to be human. Although Finn Jones played the first Iron Fist audiences saw—Danny Rand—the story has paved the way for others. Several more Iron Fists from the Marvel comics, like Fan Fei, Orson Randall, and Lin Lie, haven’t appeared on screen yet, but a number of Iron Fists are already part of the MCU.

Right now, The Requin is the fourth most popular movie on Netflix in the US (according to FlixPatrol). It’s only two spots behind another shark movie, and many people likely started watching it after enjoying Thrash. The true crime drama Husband, Father, Killer: The Alyssa Pladl Story is at No. 3, and the new comedy Roommates is currently No. 1.

Matthew Macfadyen, acclaimed for his Emmy-winning role as Tom Wambsgans in Succession, is set to play the iconic spy George Smiley in a new adaptation of John Le Carré’s A Legacy Of Spies. This is a significant role for Macfadyen, as he takes on a beloved character in British fiction at a time when spy thrillers are evolving. He’s perfectly positioned to bring a fresh take to this classic character.

Since Game of Thrones ended, Kit Harington has taken on very different roles, moving away from the noble characters he was known for. He’s embraced challenging parts, playing everything from a corrupt businessman in Criminal: UK to a ruthless billionaire in Extrapolations. One of his most nuanced performances is in a lesser-known, but highly compelling, show.

Good news for fans! Season 2 of Heated Rivalry is confirmed to premiere on Crave and HBO Max in April 2027. The cast has also signed on for three seasons total, which means a third season is very probable. If the timing between seasons 1 and 2 holds true, we can expect season 3 to arrive around mid-to-late 2028.
