Kelly Osbourne’s boyfriend Sid Wilson’s face ‘is basically melted from nose down’ following explosion on Iowa farm

Kelly Osbourne’s partner, Sid Wilson, has shared updates about his healing process following the injuries he sustained from a farm explosion on the property he co-owns with Kelly, their young son Sidney, and Kelly herself in Iowa.
47-year-old turntablist Wilson from Slipknot shared with Fox News Digital on Thursday that, following last week’s event, his face below the nose area has significantly changed or appears to have been severely affected.
Wilson explained that he had bandages covering his entire right arm and only half of his left, due to multiple injuries requiring hospitalization. However, he added that the swelling had decreased significantly, and surprisingly, the medical team was impressed by how rapidly his face appeared to regenerate and heal.
In the midst of his healing process, the musician reflected on his good fortune, expressing, “Certainly there have been better days, but considering I’m still alive, things are looking up for me.”
According to Wilson, the explosion occurred when he went out on their farm to check on a fire in a wood pile.
A few days ago, I set fire to it and allowed it to burn out completely. Upon checking the following day, I discovered some remaining debris on its sides.
Wilson admitted to the media that he erred by performing an action he shouldn’t have, which involved putting some gas into it.
Wilson departed from the blazing firewood, holding a gas can, yet failed to discover any suitable stick for igniting the stack.
Wilson admitted that his impatience took over, causing him to exclaim, “I don’t need this anymore; I can manage on my own.”
Wilson stated that he knelt down, stretched out, and ignited a wood stack soaked in gasoline, which resulted in a dangerous, potentially life-threatening situation.
‘It was incredibly humid outside, leaving misty vapors hanging about, and boy, it suddenly burst,’ said Wilson, who’s been in a relationship with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s daughter for two years.
Wilson stated that he managed to return home and hastily accompany Osbourne and their child to an emergency clinic, eventually transferring to a medical center in Iowa City for further specialized care for his burns.
After reaching the hospital in Des Moines, Wilson could relax and let go of whatever had been keeping him going. He explained that when such situations occur, one must switch into a state of mind where the priority is to ensure they reach a safe place before their body gives out.
Wilson said Osbourne has ‘been completely invaluable’ and ‘amazing’ to him amid his recovery.
He remarked, ‘I’m unsure about what tasks I would handle if she weren’t present taking care of everything for me.’
He advised his fans to be incredibly cautious when it comes to fire-related tasks, saying, ‘Don’t f*** around with fire – it’s going to win every time.’
Osbourne shared that medical professionals took care of Wilson’s wounds by covering his body with a fake scab material. They did this until they could transfer him to the burn unit, where they would remove the scabs.
On a recent Instagram Story post on Thursday, Osbourne shared that Wilson is currently in a good state but feeling tender. He also expressed his readiness for the current situation to come to an end.
I can’t help but notice how incredibly lethargic he seems right now. His system must be working overtime to recover from the intense drug regimen he’s been undergoing.

Wilson remarked, “It’s fortunate that Sidney is too young to be caught up in the tumultuous family affairs; instead, he’s simply enjoying himself throughout the entire situation.”
Wilson shared with Fox that he’s making an effort to stay positive during these challenging times, despite questioning his own decisions.
Wilson stated, “I won’t let this drain my energy, I will not let it make me feel down.” He added, “The most challenging aspect is feeling foolish for it. That’s the biggest struggle. It’s not really about the physical aspect.”
It’s similar to saying, “Wow, I wish I had thought about this more before acting. I need to be more cautious and take a moment to assess the situation properly before jumping right in.”
According to what Wilson was informed by medical experts, he won’t likely need surgeries or skin grafts.
