Oh, what a delightful trip down memory lane this game review has taken me on! As a child of the 80s and 90s, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when I see a title like Gori: Cuddly Carnage. The neon-drenched futuristic setting, the wacky characters, the combat with razor-sharp blades… it all screams retro gaming goodness!
In the present day, Wired Productions and developer Angry Demon Studio have revealed that the game titled “Gori: Cuddly Carnage” is now available. This game transports you to a future Earth bathed in neon lights, where mankind has ceased to exist, leaving a ginger cat as the unlikely hero to battle mutated unicorns.
On the self-aware hoverboard named F.R.A.N.K, you’ll take on the role of Gori to fight against terrifying unicorns, jack-in-the-boxes, and other horrifying creatures from Toyz Inc.’s ‘Adorable Army’. Your journey is not alone, as your companion CH1-P, who appears to be downcast, will assist you. You’ll glide over rails, launch combos, and slice through enemies using F.R.A.N.K’s sharp blades embedded in its structure.
As you accumulate impressive scores, you can unlock fresh abilities and strive to better your previous records as well. The game Gori: Cuddly Carnage, which allows you to switch off graphic violence for a more kid-friendly ‘purple juice’ effect, is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC at $21.99/£17.99. A demo version is also accessible for you to test it out before purchase.
