The prospect of revisiting classic games from the series’ rich history, coupled with never-before-seen content and an all-new variant, is enough to make any Tetris enthusiast’s palms sweat.
Digital Eclipse and The Tetris Company unveiled Tetris Forever, a comprehensive assemblage of Tetris games spanning the franchise’s four-decade journey, featuring a freshly developed iteration from the studio.
As a diehard fan, I can’t contain my excitement about diving into the latest addition to the studio’s Gold Master Series – Tetris Forever! This incredible package includes no less than fifteen unique versions of the classic Tetris game, along with over 90 minutes of fresh, captivating documentary footage that delves deep into the lifelong bond between Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov and Henk Rogers, founder of The Tetris Company.
In addition to offering a perpetual playthrough of Tetris, Tetris Forever introduces several games that have not been accessible outside Japan before. It also provides an authentic remake of the original Tetris on the Electronika 60 computer and features the classic multiplayer game, Tetris Battle Gaiden. Furthermore, it includes Super Tetris 2 along with Bombliss.
Tetris Time Warp, on the other hand, is a fresh take by Digital Eclipse that transports you across different eras of Tetris. It does this by instantly shifting you between game titles, allowing you to enjoy various classic designs, gameplay methods, and mechanics from different periods. Additionally, it offers an immersive experience similar to a virtual museum with an interactive timeline, historical materials such as videos, photos, original advertisements, and more.
