Olivia Attwood reveals her mum 'can't go to the local shop' without being recognised as she discusses demands of fame ahead of new series

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Olivia Attwood’s journey to stardom is both inspiring and relatable. Her rapid rise to fame following her appearance on Love Island in 2017 has undoubtedly brought about significant changes not only for her but for those closest to her as well.

She’s ITV’s new star presenter but Olivia Attwood and her family are already struggling with the demands of fame.

33-year-old television host, predicted to succeed Holly Willoughby, disclosed that her mother isn’t able to visit their local store in Cheshire.

She told TopMob at Three UK’s Mind, Body & Scroll: ‘My mum’s like, “I can’t even go to the village shop without being recognised now,” and I’m like, “You love it, don’t lie”.

This change, or fame, is quite significant not only for me but for everyone involved, as we’re all figuring out how to manage it together and understanding its unique impact on each of us.

Ever since my stint on Love Island back in 2017, I’ve been fortunate enough to carve out a remarkable path for myself, with ITV entrusting me to front four documentaries and now, TopMob unveiling exciting news about my upcoming hosting gig – Bad Boyfriends this Autumn. This promising venture is set to elevate my prominence even higher.

Kai tends to avoid the public eye, with only his love for classic and high-end vehicles being widely recognized. In contrast, his mother, Jenny, frequently features in her documentaries and podcast, So Wrong, It’s Right, making multiple public appearances.

In contrast, while Olivia’s parents lead a tranquil life in their Cheshire manor, her sister Georgia maintains a fairly subdued presence, working as both a part-time model and an executive research consultant.

The Love Island celebrity seldom shares images of her sibling on social platforms due to work commitments, however, she was granted special permission to post photos during Georgia’s bachelorette party in Saint Tropez the previous year.

Olivia mentioned that stepping into the limelight immediately after participating in Love Island can be a significant change, not just for you, but also for those close to you, as it happens swiftly.

I not only consider myself, but also my family – parents and siblings. I strive to show them respect, and I’m deeply grateful for their unwavering support throughout my journey.

Currently, Bradley Dack, the man she wedded in June, is accustomed to the limelight due to his profession as a football player. At present, he’s not tied to any team as he was let go by Sunderland.

As a lifestyle expert, I share that Bradley, aged 30, is reportedly open to starting a family, while I personally am focusing on my career growth. For women, transitioning into parenthood can significantly alter the pace of life, and as a society, we strive to lessen this impact. To be frank, his life may not undergo substantial changes, given the nature of our current societal norms.

Following persistent requests from her supporters, Bradley ultimately graced her podcast as a guest. During the conversation, she expressed: ‘I received countless messages praising the fact that as a “public figure” – which I dislike referring to myself as – partner, we spoke so candidly.’

She continued: ‘Listeners were like, “Please never change, never become filtered”. And I think there is value in being honest and organic with people.

As someone deeply committed, I cherish the genuine connection we have built and strive to preserve it. As my fame expands, I find sharing becomes increasingly daunting due to the harsh divisions and scrutiny people can subject others to. I am determined not to let this change in me, ensuring I remain authentic and approachable.

2017’s Love Island contestant delivered a speech at Three UK’s Mind, Body, and Scroll initiative on a Wednesday. She unveiled the debut of an international social fitness platform that day, designed to foster a strong sense of unity and connection among users within digital communities.

Olivia expressed: ‘This opportunity seemed incredibly suited to me. My aim is to assist others in mastering communication skills, as when I speak, I’m quite open and straightforward, which might be one of the key factors behind my success.’
