New on Max in September 2024: The Penguin, The Boy and the Heron, the Harry Potter movies, and more!

As a seasoned viewer who has navigated through countless TV guides, I must say this upcoming month is quite the treat! From the intrigue of “Formple 9” and “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” to the nostalgic journey with Scooby-Doo, there’s something for every taste.

If you’re having trouble noticing anything special about Max’s watch, don’t fret! Exciting news awaits, as Max plans to introduce more than 100 fresh titles throughout September. You’ll find a variety of films and new original content to savor!

The most highly anticipated original series debuting in September on Max is undeniably “The Penguin,” a return for Colin Farrell as Oz Cob, also known as The Penguin, from Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” This new eight-episode limited series will launch on Thursday, September 19 at 9/8c with the premiere episode, followed by weekly releases every Sunday night starting September 29. A repeat of the season opener will be streamed on September 22.

As a dedicated gamer (and fan of Gotham’s crime-fighting lore), I can’t wait to dive back into the city’s underbelly when The Penguin picks up after the events of The Batman. Oz is aiming to grab control of the criminal empire, but it won’t be a walk in the park, especially with Sofia Falcone, daughter of the infamous Carmine Falcone, entering the fray and determined to claim her place at the top. With its enticing blend of action, drama, and intrigue, this series is shaping up to be an unmissable spectacle for Batman enthusiasts like me. Plus, I’m eager to see how it connects the dots between The Batman and the upcoming film sequel!

If The Penguin doesn’t tickle your gaming fancy, no worries! Max has an array of fantastic alternatives lined up for you this coming September, especially in the realm of movies. I can’t wait to check them out myself!

Starting at the beginning of next month, all nine Harry Potter movies will return to Max, allowing fans to rewatch their favorite films through their subscription. Although these movies have previously been streaming on Max, they haven’t been available for quite some time. However, the wait is over as the Harry Potter series returns to Max this September!

Starting September 6th, I’ll be diving into a brand-new adventure with “The Boy and the Heron” on Max. This Studio Ghibli masterpiece, an Oscar-winning animated film, will take me on an epic journey through a fantastical world shared by both the living and the dead. A mischievous gray heron guides a young boy in unraveling its secrets, and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead!

Here are some of the numerous upcoming titles that will be available on Max during September. For a comprehensive list, please see the detailed schedule below!
