2 fighters miss weight at Road to UFC Semifinals weigh-in
As an ardent MMA fan with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the UFC APEX in Las Vegas is truly a battleground for aspiring fighters from around the globe. The Road To UFC Season 3, particularly episodes 5 and 6, have caught my keen interest, as they feature a tournament-style event where Asian fighters compete for a coveted UFC contract.
On Friday evening, the UFC will be broadcasting episodes 5 and 6 from their UFC APEX venue in Las Vegas. This event showcases combatants from Asia participating in a bracket-style competition, vying for the opportunity to secure a UFC contract.
Prior to any fights, athletes from Episodes 5 and 6 had to reach their required weights first. Most of them managed this successfully on that morning. However, there were exceptions. In Episode 5, Tokitaka Nakanishi was a pound over the bantamweight limit at 137 pounds during his fight with Baergeng Jieleyisi. Similarly, in Episode 6, Jonathan Peirsma weighed 174 pounds (three pounds more than required) for his welterweight bout with Samandar Muradov.
