Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 Review – an excellent start to the season

Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 Review - an excellent start to the season

As a die-hard fan of Emily in Paris since its inception, I must say that the fourth season is a delightful continuation of the series we all love. With its vibrant fashion, heartwarming drama, and a dash of French charm, it’s like stepping back into a world where croissants and couture reign supreme.

Lily Collins is back on Netflix for the fourth installment of “Emily in Paris.” Instead of one long season, this time around, Netflix has opted to divide it into two parts: the first part will be available on August 15, and the second part on September 12. We’re eager to find out if the new season maintains the charm that we loved in the previous ones. Let’s explore!

Last time I was immersed in Emily Cooper’s world, it was filled with suspense. At the wedding of Gabriel and Camille, a bombshell dropped when Camille disclosed their unspoken agreement – neither of them would pursue Gabriel romantically. However, she confessed that they were now in love, leaving Emily’s boyfriend Alfie taken aback. To add more twists to this tale, Camille announced her secret pregnancy and affair, which perfectly encapsulates the whirlwind of drama unfolding.

Jumping ahead to season 4, I find myself right in the middle of a tumultuous turn in Emily and Alfie’s relationship. The news has spread like wildfire across social media, causing quite the stir. Meanwhile, Roland Garros, one of our major clients, is gearing up for his next big campaign. Here’s the catch: he wants Emily and Alfie as the faces because they used him to debut their relationship. Despite the tension between them, Sylvie has given us an ultimatum – work it out.

Following the wedding, it’s discovered that Camille has vanished. Emily suspects she might be with Sofia, whom Emily had been secretly involved with. However, we soon learn that Camille actually fled from everyone. Once found by Emily, though Sofia is initially upset, they reconcile, and Camille returns home, bringing joy to both Sofia and Gabriel.

Does Emily choose Alfie or Gabriel?

In my world, I found myself in a tricky situation when old feelings for Gabriel persisted, despite Alfie’s continued presence. Even though I hinted to Gabriel that perhaps if we were two different individuals, we might delve into our relationship, at a gathering, he unexpectedly disguised himself – igniting a spark deep within me to make my choice. As I danced with the transformed Gabriel at this event, Alfie, who had just started considering reconciliation, watched us and was visibly upset.

What works in Season 4 Part 1?

1. The series maintains its consistent rhythm, immersing us in Emily’s life as she manages her relationships while other plotlines begin to fray. Yet, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu delivers a stellar performance this season, portraying Sylvie Grateau. This season, Sylvie’s narrative adds layers to her character, revealing aspects we haven’t seen before. Beaulieu’s acting is heartrendingly empathetic, leaving viewers in tears.

Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 Review - an excellent start to the season

Absolutely, fashion follows its usual pattern. In retrospect, twenty years from now, “Emily in Paris” might be remembered as a groundbreaking series for fashion, standing tall among the greatest. The vivacious way Lily Collins breathes life into Emily’s outfits is like a burst of sunlight, even during her character’s more somber moments. Collins truly shines as Emily, but the ensembles are equally captivating and deserve their own spotlight.

The split batches is quite frustrating

As a dedicated fan, I must confess my slight letdown upon discovering that this season has been divided into two parts. The brief thirty-minute episodes have left me eagerly anticipating the next installment once I’ve become engrossed in the storyline. It feels especially peculiar given the imminent arrival of another portion less than a month away. In my opinion, the split structure seems more suitable for longer, hour-long dramas rather than this format.

Is Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 Worth Watching?

Absolutely! If you’re a fan of Emily in Paris, you’ll find yourself engrossed in its fashion, humor, and drama just as one might get wrapped up in something special. However, like me, you may feel a bit sad because we have to wait another month for the second part. But don’t worry, relax, pour yourself some wine, and delve into this entertaining series!
