In simple terms, ‘I aimed to weigh 108 kg, but with only nine days left, I weighed 119.8 kg instead. I had just over a week to shed those extra pounds, and I fasted for nearly seven days.’

After visiting the sauna at the Brighton Baths, I stepped outside for a brief stroll, yet I felt utterly drained. It was an incredibly unpleasant experience, so much so that for a moment, it crossed my mind that I might not make it through. Suddenly, my nose began to bleed without provocation and I found myself craving some soup, which eventually helped me regain my strength.

As someone who has struggled with weight loss for years, waking up to see the scale read 107 pounds was nothing short of miraculous. After stepping onto the scale, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment and pride that only comes from achieving a long-sought goal. The applause and words of encouragement from my loved ones made the moment even more special. It’s moments like these that remind me that all the hard work and perseverance is worth it in the end.
