Before becoming known for roles like Captain Jonathan Archer in Star Trek: Enterprise and Dwayne “King” Pride on NCIS: New Orleans, Scott Bakula starred in a popular science fiction show called . The series was so successful that it was brought back twenty years later with a new version.
Fans have a limited time to stream the 2022 series Quantum Leap before it’s removed from Netflix. According to What’s on Netflix, the show starring Raymond Lee will no longer be available on the platform after February 15th.

The 2022 series Quantum Leap is a continuation of the popular 1989 show starring Scott Bakula. Created by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt – who also executive produced alongside original creator Donald P. Bellisario – the new series features Raymond Lee as Dr. Ben Song, the lead scientist on the recently reactivated Quantum Leap project, now overseen by the US Department of Defense.
Thirty years after Dr. Samuel Beckett disappeared into the Quantum Leap machine, a new series begins. This time, it’s Ben Song who finds himself unexpectedly traveling through time. Luckily, Ben isn’t alone – he has help from his fiancée, who appears as a hologram, much like Dr. Beckett had with his AI assistant, Al Calavicci.
The cast of Quantum Leap included Mason Alexander Park as Ian Wright, the chief technician, Nanrisa Lee as Jenn Chou, head of security, and Ernie Hudson as Herbert “Magic” Williams, who led the Quantum Leap project. Joining them in Season 2 were Peter Gadiot and Eliza Taylor, playing security officer Tom Westfall and physicist Hannah Carson, respectively.
During its time on TV, Quantum Leap received mixed reviews. Critics gave it an average score of 58% on Rotten Tomatoes, while viewers were more positive, giving it a 72% rating on the site’s audience poll.

Many fans of Scott Bakula, best known for his role in the original Quantum Leap, are eager to see him join the Star Trek universe in a highly anticipated new project. Last December, Star Trek: Enterprise writer and producer Michael Sussman revealed a concept for a series where he would play the President of the United Federation of Planets.

We’re talking about a young Sarek – just 18 years old and starting out as a consular aide – and the return of Jeffrey Combs as the Andorian Shran, now an ally to President Archer within Starfleet. Plus, they’re planning to bring back Todd Stashwick as the delightfully devious Minister Talok, who will be pulling strings against the Federation from the shadows. It sounds like a really interesting blend of old and new!
