The Grammy winner, aged 31 with 247 million social media followers, expressed her disappointment through Instagram Story: “This flavor isn’t right for me. It’s described as lemon pepper with honey or a sweet note, but I don’t find it appealing. Instead, it tastes uncannily like Sprite soda to me.”

‘I don’t f***ing like it. From one through 10, I’ll give it a two. I like the other one. I like the the sweet heat [sweet ‘n spicy]. I was trying to [choose something] different. I was trying to do the lemon pepper. I did not think it would come with a sweet kick to it. I don’t f***ing like it. It’s a dud. Now I’m mad.’

Cardi (born Belcalis Almánzar) is from the Bronx, and she went on to praise her home state.

“The On Dat Money rapper expressed a liking for a different state than New York, sharing that they were enjoying Popeyes as early as 4:30 AM.”

I can’t believe it! Nothing beats getting my fix of Popeyes at 4:30 in the morning, but unfortunately, there seems to be no place on Earth that offers such an early treat. My state just doesn’t compare to New York in this regard.

In the meantime, a representative from the 52-year-old fast-food brand informed TMZ on Wednesday that they will be sending Cardi B a selection of their other four flavors for her to try. These include the ghost pepper, honey BBQ, roasted garlic parmesan, and signature hot varieties.

“If you can’t handle the situation, it might be best for you to step back. And we’re right in the thick of things here,” Popeyes PR said to the outlet.
