An insider shared with DailyMail.com that Jen and Ben have decided to give themselves some space to thoroughly consider their desires.
‘They were ready to throw in the towel. Divorce papers are done and ready to be filed.
Instead of starting anew by writing letters, they chose to rekindle their feelings by exchanging one final set before deciding to part ways. This was the method that initially brought them close.
In her movie “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” Lopez revealed that Affleck had given her a large collection of love letters. During his 13-year union with Jennifer Garner, Affleck kept these heartfelt messages close.
In 2021, when they reconnected, he compiled their past correspondence – the letters and emails – and turned it into a book as a present for Jennifer Lopez.
She mentioned in the documentary that this book was a gift Ben gave her during our first Christmas reunion, twenty years ago. Its pages contain all the letters and emails we exchanged back then.
One point she emphasized stood out, which was titled: “The Untold Love Story of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck (2001-2010)…” and continues.

Over the weekend, Lopez held an early 55th birthday celebration in the Hamptons, which was attended by her manager Benny Medina and her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme. Affleck did not join the lunch.
