On Tuesday in central London, Dawn French was seen with her seldom-seen daughter Billie Henry after they finished shopping.
A comedian, aged 66, and Billie, 33, hopped into a black taxi following their shopping spree at the high-end retailer, Liberty.
Billie, whom Billie and her former husband Sir Lenny Henry adopted in 1991, donned a charming floral sundress and a set of flip-flops for the occasion.
Simultaneously, Dawn donned a vibrant long-sleeved blouse and matching white pants, accompanied by black and white sneakers and chic sunglasses.
In 2017, French, who is 62 years old, openly discussed her strained bond with her daughter, describing it as a contentious and conflict-ridden mother-daughter connection.
The comedy actress expressed her heartfelt wish for her relationship with her daughter to improve significantly, following decades of challenges.
Two years ago in an interview, she shared that just as a tomato plant thrives when cared for and grows towards the light, the same is true for children. If a mother enjoys life with her child, goes on adventures together, reads aloud, and spends quality time, it’s hard to imagine any conflict arising between them.

Billie was also given a five year restraining order stopping her from contacting the victim.
At an earlier court hearing at Truro Crown Court, she admitted her guilt for malicious communication instead of maintaining her not-guilty plea for an alleged charge of harmful control or influence.
The offences took place over five months in Dobwalls, Cornwall, between 2018 and 2019.
I couldn’t believe it when Dawn opened up about her family later that year! She confessed with raw honesty that she was eagerly waiting to join the ranks of grandparents.
Dawn also stepmother to her husband Mark Bignell’s two children Lily, 33, and Olly, 30.
She told The Mirror: ‘Family is everything to me. That’s where I know I belong.’
“She remarked: I have the role of mothering three grown children, which presents me with both the toughest struggle and most rewarding joy.”
Dawn expressed her affectionate nickname for her kids as “dearest ones.” She shared her eagerness to assume the role of grandma once they feel prepared for parenthood.
She expressed: “I’m all set and eagerly anticipating the role of grandma. I won’t pressure my children, but I’ll be prepared once they are. I’m excited for this new chapter in my life.”
The comedian jokingly warned that she might need to step in if her potential grandchildren ever gave her a humorous nickname like “smelly.”
