Fans furious Ben Cousins is still competing on Dancing with the Stars: ‘He should have been sent home’

As a dedicated fan of Dancing with the Stars, I was left feeling utterly dismayed and frustrated by Sunday’s episode. The elimination of Nadia Bartel, a hardworking contestant who had shown immense improvement, while controversial figure Ben Cousins remained in the competition, left a sour taste in my mouth.

Supporters of Dancing with the Stars were displeased during last weekend’s broadcast as Nadia Bartel was sent home, while questionable participant Ben Cousins continued in the contest.

In that episode, I ended up being in the bottom two pairs with the notorious AFL player. We had to face off against each other in a tense dance competition, leaving us both on edge until the very end.

The judges chose to keep Cousins in the competition that evening because they saw the greatest possibility for his improvement, as stated by experienced judge Mark Wilson.

Although the ex-footballer received criticism, he managed to stay, contrasting with Bartel, who had been demonstrating progress but was ultimately let go.

The decision baffled many fans who slammed the judges for keeping Cousins, 46.

‘Ben should’ve gone big time; he was really bad at dancing,’ one fan wrote on Instagram.

Another viewer expressed puzzlement: “The judges declared Ben overtime, yet they still rescued him. That’s odd.”

The criticism persisted, with a displeased spectator commenting: “It wasn’t fair! Ben ought to have eliminated Nadia instead. She seemed to have greater prospects.”

Earlier this month, Cousins admitted he had a hard time watching his first dance back.

‘It was hard to watch last night because I knew what was coming,’ he told Mix94.5’s Pete & Kymba.

Despite watching the show with his family, Cousins said he found the experience daunting.
