Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley joins Emilia Clarke in Christmas movie
As a hardcore animation and holiday movie fan with years of experience in the gaming community, I am beyond excited about the upcoming collaboration between Simone Ashley, Emilia Clarke, and Gerard Butler for “The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland”! The idea of crossover between classic tales like ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ and Alice in Wonderland is both innovative and intriguing.
Simone Ashley from “Bridgerton” and Emilia Clarke from “Game of Thrones” are set to star in a new holiday film together.
According to Variety, the duo, along with Gerard Butler from the Has Fallen movie series, have agreed to be part of The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland. This is an animated film based on the popular children’s book by Carys Bexington and Kate Hindley.
The title itself hints at the blend of “A Visit from St. Nicholas” and “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” contained within this tale.
In “The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland,” Santa Claus goes on a exciting and holiday-themed journey through the rabbit hole instead.
At that point, Alice encounters the Mad Hatter transformed into a chic, reindeer-loving host of tea parties; the White Rabbit, a lovable and scatterbrained character prone to forgetfulness; the Queen of Hearts, who bears a striking resemblance to Scrooge with her disdain for tinsel and decorations; her grouchy companion, the Cheshire Cat; and, most importantly, Alice, whose compassionate nature plays a crucial role in Saint Nicholas’ mission to save Christmas.
As a seasoned voice actor with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel excited about the upcoming animated project where I’ll be lending my voice to St. Nick. Having spent countless hours in recording studios and bringing characters to life, this role holds a special place in my heart. It’s not just another gig; it’s an opportunity to bring joy and magic to families during the holiday season.
In “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse,” Peter Baynton takes on the role of director. Notably, music maestro Guy Chambers oversees the production of songs. Meanwhile, Amy Wadge and Sara Daddy contribute by penning both rhyming lyrics and dialogue.
In the past, Universal Pictures Content Group and Lupus Films have worked together on projects such as “The Tiger Who Came to Tea” and “Mog’s Christmas.”
More recently, DreamWorks’ live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon” revealed that Butler would reprise his role as Hiccup’s dad, Stoick.
