As an Overwatch 2 fan with years of experience under my belt, I am beyond excited for the addition of the new hero, Juno, to our roster! The recent gameplay trailer and information release from Blizzard has me counting down the days until her official launch in Season 12 on Aug 20. But the best part? Players like me get a sneak peek during the limited-time trial starting July 19!

Experience being Juno for a brief period from July 19 to July 21, before her formal debut in Season 12 on August 20.

As a long-time fan of Overwatch, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! With my years of gaming experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Blizzard never fails to deliver when it comes to new hero releases. And today, they’ve outdone themselves once again by dropping the official gameplay trailer for Overwatch 2’s latest addition – Juno!

In Overwatch 2’s Season 12 starting from August 20th, Juno is planned to make her appearance. Yet, before this official date, gamers have an opportunity to test out Juno as the support hero during a brief trial period from July 19th to July 21st.

Overwatch 2 Juno abilities and ultimate

  • Glide Boost (Ability): Glide horizontally with increased movement speed.
  • Hyper Ring (Ability): Deploy a ring that increases movement speed of allies that pass through it.
  • Martian Overboots (Passive): While airborne, press Jump to double jump and hold Jump to hover.
  • Orbital Ray (Ultimate): Call down a ray that travels forward, healing allies and increasing their damage.
  • Mediblaster (Primary Fire): Burst fire weapon that heals allies and damages enemies.
  • Pulsar Torpedoes (Secondary Fire): Press Secondary Fire to lock on, then Primary Fire to fire homing projectiles. Heals allies over time and damages enemies.

In Overwatch 2, the character named Juno, formerly known as “Space Ranger,” now utilizes the Mediblaster as her main weapon that shoots out healing beams. For her secondary attack, she wields Pulsar Torpedoes. Her abilities consist of Glide Boost for increased mobility and Hyper Ring for protective shielding. Lastly, Juno’s ultimate move is Orbital Ray.

On July 18, 2022, Blizzard unveiled gameplay clips for the new hero Juno in Overwatch 2. Previews of Juno’s abilities and gameplay were also shared during BlizzCon 2023. To build anticipation for Juno’s debut, players reported seeing a meteor in various Overwatch 2 maps in June 2024. Later, a spaceship appeared on the Dorado map to generate excitement.
