In these initial stages, you’ll have Garryck standing with you. This adds more complexity to the situation. Meanwhile, Ilora is attempting to persuade you to search for the key to free her from imprisonment. However, Garryck strongly disagrees about trusting Ilora, given that she was previously in a cell before the island’s upheaval. Therefore, it’s reasonable to suspect there might be valid reasons behind her confinement.

Every character you’re with has a health meter and a distinctive symbol in the lower-left part of your screen interface. This small symbol helps identify whose health meter corresponds to whom, however, a warning sign might pop up occasionally.

One of the initial side missions available in Avowed is titled ‘Charting the Terrain.’ This mission requires you to locate assistant cartographers that Sanza dispatched to each known area within the Living Lands, with the aim of producing an accurate world map. The first one you’ll have to find is Geirmund, the Cartographer, who resides in the initial region we inhabit.

It appears that Parry isn’t immediately accessible when you embark on your journey through the Living Lands. Rather, you’ll find a way to activate this ability during your gameplay.

In the town of Dawnshore, pieces of the Totems will be subtly concealed. Sanza, at his store, will give you clues or riddles to help find them. At times, they may be visible, but other instances might leave you puzzled as you search for their hidden spots, asking yourself “Where on earth could this artifact be?” To prevent unnecessary searches, we’ll describe each location of the Totem of Rightful Leadership in detail within Avowed.
