I just finished watching Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, and it’s a powerful film that really stuck with me. It centers around John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal), a soldier in Afghanistan in 2018, and the incredible bravery of Ahmed (Dar Salim), his Afghan interpreter. When Kinley gets injured, Ahmed risks everything to save him, expecting help for his family in return. But the film shines a light on a frustratingly real issue: the broken promises made to those who aided the U.S. military. While it’s not a direct retelling of one specific story, The Covenant uses this very real situation to deliver a moving message about the power of human kindness and the debts we owe to those who help us, even when our own government fails them.

As a huge fan of Stephen King’s IT, I’m really excited about this new HBO Max show! It’s set in Derry, the same town from the books and movies, which is awesome. And it looks like the Hanlon family is going to play a big part – if you’ve read IT or seen the films, you’ll definitely recognize that name! It’s cool to see those familiar connections being made.

I’ve been a fan of both of them for years, and it’s amazing to see all the incredible work they’ve done together! I especially loved them in films like The Siege at Ruby Ridge, Wild At Heart, and Citizen Ruth, and their appearance on the HBO series Enlightened was just brilliant. They’ve really built up an impressive filmography over the years.

I really enjoy 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way – it’s my favorite version of 90 Day Fiancé. I was happy to see a new season come out before the end of the year. The show always does a great job of showing how difficult it can be for Americans to adjust to life in a different country, and this season, Chloe Fabiano is really struggling with that during her time with Johny Fernandes.
