Looking back at everything that came out, 2025 was a fantastic year for Stephen King adaptations – right up there with 1983, which gave us Cujo, The Dead Zone, and Christine. But how do all the new movies and TV shows stack up against each other? I always found it fascinating that even after directors like John Carpenter and David Cronenberg started making movies from Stephen King’s stories, a lot of critics still didn’t take him seriously. Disney is also increasing its focus on Korean entertainment, aiming to build globally successful franchises from Asian Pacific content. In addition, major Korean media company CJ ENM recently partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery to co-produce Korean dramas for multiple years.

The movie first appeared on Prime Video earlier this year, but it’s now gaining even more popularity on Netflix. As of December 18, 2025, it’s actually the most-watched movie on the platform, surpassing even the popular animated film, KPop Demon Hunters!
