Hughes effectively encapsulated the spirit of teenagers in the 1980s, weaving intricate tales that celebrated youth while subtly imparting wisdom about maturity. John Hughes’ films were marked by contemporary music and styles, significantly contributing to the enduring iconic representation of 1980s popular culture. While Hughes didn’t direct many of his most renowned works, his storytelling talent was evident even when he wasn’t in the director’s chair, and he occasionally revisited successful ideas for new narratives. Some of Hughes’ concepts were so powerful that they deserved repetition, and one of his ’80s masterpieces can be considered a remake in essence.

Many people found the rapid conclusion of Game of Thrones season 8 to be unsatisfying, not just because of the manner of their defeat (which was disputed by some), but primarily due to the abruptness following years of intricate story development. It would have been preferable to have more time, additional conflicts, and a greater number of answers, but regrettably, we don’t inhabit an ideal scenario where such things can occur.

2021 saw Chloé Zhao’s initial dive into the superhero genre carrying significant anticipation, being not only the first Marvel Cinematic Universe team-up film since Avengers: Endgame, but also introducing an obscure band of characters on the big screen for the very first time.

As a music enthusiast, I often find myself pondering over the intertwining of politics and music – an intriguing blend that yields results ranging from harmonious to discordant. While music is a form of art, politics, unfortunately, isn’t. Music aspires for longevity, whereas politics seeks power for the moment.

Leonardo da Vinci masterfully created the Mona Lisa during the years 1503-1506; yet, if I were to ask who ruled Florence, Italy at that time, I’m afraid many would struggle with the answer. It’s fascinating how one creation can last through centuries, while the names of those in power often fade into obscurity.
