What really makes this enjoyable are the well-developed side characters, including the return of favorites like Flash the sloth and Maurice LaMarche, a shrew with a voice and mannerisms reminiscent of Vito Corleone. It’s an irresistible addition to the story – you won’t want to miss it.
The Hollywood Reporter
I was so excited for this sequel to the incredible, Oscar-winning animated film from 2016, and honestly, it completely lived up to the hype! It’s absolutely stunning to look at, seriously funny, and even manages to pull at your heartstrings. The wait was so worth it!

With a fantastic voice cast and fast-paced directing by Jared Bush and Byron Howard (who also wrote the story), the movie offers a great mix of humor, excitement for the whole family, and a touch of romance.

This movie has a genuine emotional core that’s been missing in many recent Disney animated films. It delivers a meaningful message with heartfelt care, especially in the relationship between Nick and Judy.

Variety
While these films are primarily comedies that playfully reference crime movies, what truly makes the series special is the insightful social commentary hidden within the humor – they offer valuable lessons alongside the laughs.
Slant Magazine
Zootropolis 2 is a thought-provoking film for kids, tackling the issue of prejudice with even more depth than the original while still being funny, charming, and visually creative.
