is officially making its way to Disney+.
Following a hugely successful run in theaters – earning $1.85 billion globally and becoming the highest-grossing animated film ever – Zootopia 2 will stream on Disney+ starting March 11th. The film is the fifth from Walt Disney Animation Studios to reach over $1 billion worldwide. Since its release in November 2025, Zootopia has received critical acclaim, including a BAFTA, a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, an A from CinemaScore, and an Academy Award nomination.
In Zootopia 2, officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves investigating a puzzling new mystery when Gary De’Snake arrives and disrupts life in the city. To solve the case, the partners must go undercover in unfamiliar areas of Zootopia, pushing their teamwork to the limit.
The highly anticipated Zootopia sequel is receiving rave reviews for being a truly captivating movie experience, full of laughs, heartwarming moments, and incredible animation. In addition to its beautiful visuals, the film features some new music, including the song “Zoo” by Gazelle.
Adding Zootopia 2 to Disney+ expands the popular Zootopia franchise—which already includes the original Zootopia movie and the Zootopia+ series—creating a complete collection for fans on the streaming service. The film was recently released on DVD and Blu-ray in March, and after becoming a big hit for digital purchase and rental starting January 27th, it’s expected to perform just as well on Disney+.
Join in on the adventure with Judy and Nick in Zootopia 2, streaming March 11 on Disney+.
