Zoe Hague seen back home for the first time since fans mocked her for leaving Bali after 48 hours because it didn’t meet her expectations

Zoe Hague has returned home as she was seen heading home from a gym session on Thursday.

Molly-Mae’s influencing sibling has faced criticism from followers lately, as they departed Bali within two days due to the destination falling short of their anticipations.

Rather than staying put, she and her spouse Danny unexpectedly opted for a spontaneous trip to Dubai, following Zoe’s revelation on social media that things weren’t perfectly okay.

The pair are back from their vacation, spotted in Cheshire wearing a roomy navy sweater and blue workout shorts, which they call Zoe.

She finished off her appearance with a pair of white athletic sneakers, and perched sunglasses atop her head.

This past week, Zoe faced criticism when she shared on social media that she decided to depart from Bali ahead of schedule.

The fitness expert, along with her spouse Danny, was arranging a journey to Indonesia as a means of celebrating their initial wedding anniversary together.

Even though they were lodged in a spacious room overlooking the sea at the Radisson Blu, a prestigious five-star hotel, they opted to cut their stay short and fly off to Dubai instead.

Zoe pointed out that Bali appears more lavish on social media platforms compared to its actual state, due to influencers enhancing its visual appeal, even though it’s still developing.

In their latest YouTube upload, Zoe shares her experience by saying: ‘Ever since our arrival in Bali, things haven’t felt quite normal for us.’

We arrived with great anticipation, as we’d heard from social media that everyone was enjoying themselves immensely. The food spots, beaches, fitness centers, and coffee shops all seemed delightful.

However, I believe that the authentic essence of Bali isn’t portrayed as much, and I suspect this is due to influencers predominantly sharing the high-end, luxurious aspects.

In her statement, she mentioned that prior to enlisting in the military, she spent approximately five months exploring Southeast Asia. Specifically, she visited Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Hong Kong, engaging in various activities and staying in those nations. However, she found Bali to be uniquely distinct from the other countries she had visited.

It was mentioned that Uluwatu, our current location, is among the top destinations to visit. However, if this place is one of the best, I’m curious about what the other excellent locations might be like.

‘I wasn’t going to sit down and say anything, but people want to know.’

After joining the call, Danny remarked: ‘Either you’re seeking a vacation for cultural exploration or you prefer one for relaxation.’

Zoe added: “Indeed, we could’ve booked a flight for tomorrow, seeing as today marks our anniversary. However, time is valuable, and we simply can’t wait any longer. So, let’s go now instead of postponing it.

It appears we might have fallen short, possibly due to insufficient self-research or an error on our part. However, I did carry out extensive research myself.

‘We feel it’s all about personal taste, and in this case, we didn’t find it appealing. Consequently, we’re taking charge and choosing to celebrate our anniversary at a place where we feel comfortable, can unwind, and even drink the water with confidence.’

‘It’s quite unexpected that you’ve visited this region because it has a striking contrast. While the luxury resorts are stunning and Instagram-worthy, they coexist with an underdeveloped part of the world where many residents struggle with poverty.’

I’m sorry to hear your visit to Bali didn’t go as planned, it’s truly unfortunate:( Bali is an enchanting destination with warm-hearted locals! However, it’s essential to remember that it’s a developing country, and the expectations might be higher than what it can offer. It’s not like Dubai in terms of infrastructure and facilities. I hope you have a wonderful time in Dubai instead.

Could you please share specifically what aspects didn’t appeal to you about it? Your feedback was quite general, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit last year!

In support of Zoe’s sentiment, others chimed in: “I’ve just returned from backpacking across Australia, Bali, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, and I wholeheartedly concur with the Instagram versus reality debate about Bali! Despite our best efforts to appreciate it, Bali is undeniably depicted much differently by influencers.

It seems as though people are expressing discontent. Perhaps it’s because not everyone finds Bali appealing; they visited and didn’t take a liking to it. It’s puzzling why they would invest their time and resources in a place where they aren’t deriving enjoyment.

2019 saw Molly-Mae, Zoe’s sibling, expressing her affection for Bali to followers by posting a collection of beautiful photos on Instagram, showcasing her newfound love for the destination.

Zoe later shared a photo dump on Instagram, showcasing her lavish Dubai trip after leaving Bali

During the off-peak month of July, the couple opted to reside at Atlantis The Royal, where nightly rates began roughly at £290. Conversely, during high seasons, these same rooms might set one back an impressive £1,570 per night.

Zoe posted on Instagram: “Danny amazed me with a stunning statue at Atlantis The Royal, something I just couldn’t fathom!!!

“Traveling during this season proved beneficial because prices were significantly lower! It’s ideal for a special event.”

– “Visiting at this time of year made things more affordable, which was great! Perfect timing for a special occasion.”

– “Going during this season meant cheaper costs, and it turned out to be perfect for our special event.
