Zoe Ball reveals ex-husband Norman Cook would 'disappear with Noel Gallagher all the time' as she and Jamie Oliver share wild stories from the 90s about the Oasis brothers

As an ardent fan who lived through the wild and unforgettable days of the nineties and early 2000s, I find myself utterly captivated by this delightful tale that unfolds like a timeless classic. The camaraderie between Oasis, Jamie Oliver, and Jo Whiley is a testament to the era’s spirit, where rockstars, chefs, and radio personalities mingled in the most unexpected ways.

Zoe Ball and Jamie Oliver reminisced about their past experiences with the Oasis brothers, recounting some exciting tales from the ’90s and early 2000s.

On Thursday, the TV chef, aged 49, made an appearance on the BBC Breakfast Radio 2 program that is hosted by the presenter, who is 53 years old. The presenter had resumed her duties on the show after taking a six-week leave of absence, shrouded in mystery.

Regarding the upcoming reunion tour of Noel and Liam Gallagher next year, Jamie voiced his dismay at not securing tickets. Zoe advised him to reach out to her former spouse, Norman Cook (age 61), for assistance in obtaining them.

Zoe, who was married to Norman (also known as Fatboy Slim) from 1999 to 2010, disclosed that her former spouse frequently went missing with Noel, aged 57.

They vanished off together, leaving me wondering, “Whatever happened to Norm?” Only to find out he was with Noel Gallagher in a field. Again, I sighed, thinking “Not this time with Noel Gallagher, not again,” she reminisced.

In the ’90s, it was unveiled that Zoe owned a property behind Noel’s house. One day, Jamie inadvertently ignited himself with absinthe when he visited this same flat of Zoe’s.

He said: ‘Do you remember I set myself on fire with some drink? What was it some drink?’

Zoe said: “I won’t touch absinthe ever again. Before, we’d be lying in bed saying something like, ‘Let’s wait a moment, he’s arguing.’

‘He used to be shut out quite a lot. It was very funny. They were the days.

Is it accurate that Liam Gallagher woke you up by yelling outside your house, demanding a bacon sandwich?

Liam would regularly visit a pub that was located near where Jamie lived, and on his way home, he frequently teased the cook.

Jamie said: ‘He did. He said “give us a bacon sarnie” though the letterbox.

I leaned out and called, “Hey, buddy,” as Poppy and Daisy had just been born. I asked them to be quiet since the children were attempting to rest.

‘He used to hang out in the Holly Bush and he looked so cool. He’s such a character.

Last year, I attended two shows featuring him, accompanied by John Squire from The Stone Roses. They had quite a unique performance, truly remarkable, which I witnessed at Kentish Town. Subsequently, I also attended the Definitely Maybe 25 years concert, where Noel was performing from a box, an experience that left many skeptical when I shared it with them.

‘And I saw him.  How could he be there if it wasn’t going to happen.’

Liam previously spoke about taunting Jamie on The Jonathan Ross show.

He said: ‘On the way home, we’d be going, “He’s got some scran in there”.

He’d go to his window and say, “Liam, stop playing around, I’m putting the children to bed,” and we’d respond, “Why not just toss us a few bacon sandwiches down instead?

‘He’s moved. The funny thing is he’s moved to where I live now as well.’

Zoe proposed that you should reach out to both Jo Whiley and Liam. They seem to be doing quite well at the moment.

Jamie stated: “I can clearly observe Liam sprinting, in his parka. If you visualize Liam running, that’s precisely how you would picture it.

Wearing a parka with the hood pulled up, he seems to be running as if he owns the place, though I can’t disclose where this secret park of his is located. The fact that he exercises there, unknown to anyone except me who’s observing him from afar using a telescope, is not something I’m willing to confirm or deny.

A vast number of enthusiasts aimed to obtain one of the roughly one million tickets distributed for the tour’s 17 performances, spread out over locations such as Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Manchester and London, with five shows each scheduled for July and August.

On Monday Zoe returned to her Radio 2 show for the first time in six weeks.

Despite being advised to take as much time as needed after the passing of her cherished mother, Zoe resumed work on May 13th instead.

After being away for six weeks, Zoe thanked Scott Mills for standing in on her show and Spoony for looking after Scott’s show as well.

Originally, he was scheduled to jet-set around the globe as a DJ for holidays; however, circumstances forced him to alter everything. A big thanks to the guys and everyone for their incredible support during this time.

As a grateful devotee, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to each one of you who took the time to send me countless messages. Your support means the world to me, and I truly thank every single one of you for being such a beautiful part of my journey.
