HoYoverse announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4, called “On the Precipice of the Abyss,” will be released on November 26, 2025. The update includes a continuation of the game’s story, two new playable characters, two new companion characters, several events, and the return of popular features.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4 expands the story with new mysteries

In version 2.4, following the close call under Timesworn Hill, you’ll team up with the Krampus Compliance Authority – a law enforcement group connected to TOPS. Their help not only stopped a disaster, but also revealed surprising insights within Yidhari’s dream world.

In these visions, Sarah appears with Ye Shiyuan, a respected leader from Yunkui Summit. It’s surprising to see him linked to the Exaltists or their Creator, and it creates new mysteries. Meanwhile, his sister, Ye Shunguang, has taken control of the Qingming Sword and is now working with you to find out what’s really going on.

With the strange Miasma slowly fading, the long-sealed mining site beneath New Eridu is starting to reappear, bringing with it new threats and mysterious forces from below.

ZZZ Version 2.4 update will feature two new S-tier agents and returning favorites

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2 introduces two new, incredibly strong characters – S-Tier agents from the Krampus Compliance Authority – and brings back two characters that players already love.

1. Dialyn

Dailyn is a powerful fighter known as an S-Rank Physical Stun Agent, but she also works as a unique customer service specialist. She battles using two unusual resources: Customer Complaints and Positive Reviews. Dailyn can stun her opponents and immediately activate her teammates’ powerful Ultimate abilities, bringing them into the fight.

2. Banyue

Joining the team is Banyue, a powerful martial artist known as the S-Rank Fire Rupture Agent. He’s mastered a unique fighting style that blends many different techniques into one seamless flow. Banyue’s abilities center around switching between bursts of energy and fiery rage, letting him deliver quick, unbroken attack combinations for a satisfying, fast-paced combat experience.

3. Two New Bangboo

In this version, you’re getting two Bangboo companions:

  • Birkblick: It features a sensor unit that transforms into a mobile cannon capable of scanning and bombarding enemies.
  • Bild N. Boolok: This one, on the other hand, can directly smash enemies with a massive block hammer.

In Version 2.2, popular characters like Ice Attack Agents, Hugo, and Ellen are back, giving players another opportunity to add them to their team.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4 brings new events

This update brings back the popular Bangboo Auto Chess mode, now called En-Nah Chess Saga, with exciting new additions! You can now enjoy dedicated single-player stages and earn exclusive rewards. Plus, you’ll have a chance to get the new Bangboo character, Bild N. Boolok, completely free.

Version 2.4 also introduces a relaxed side event called Lightstream Notes, where you can explore the new area, New Eridu, alongside Ye Shunguang. It presents charming glimpses into daily life, offering a comforting contrast to the unfolding story.
