HoYoverse has announced that the Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0, known as “Where Clouds Meet the Dawn“, will be released on June 6, 2025. This update signifies the beginning of Season 2 and the game’s official launch on Xbox. Furthermore, it will commemorate its first anniversary with numerous rewards.

Season 2 begins with a new region, characters, and gameplay

In the v2.0 update, you’ll be able to explore the colorful Waifei Peninsula, a fresh addition to New Eridu, featuring bustling cityscapes, enigmas, and Hollow fights. The main city, Failume Heights, is steeped in culture and brimming with resources called Porcelume. It also boasts unique venues such as teahouses and pawnshops.

Beyond what’s already mentioned, you can take charge of improving and maintaining your personal temple, as well as reap benefits by sending Bangboo, completing assignments, and gathering resources from Hollows. To spice things up, I’m looking forward to unveiling the mysteries of Phaethon and diving into fresh Hollow exploration gameplay!

The mysterious Lemnian Cavern could potentially hold abundant resources, yet it’s perilous Miasma empowers your adversaries by fortifying their defenses and boosting their skills. To counteract this threat, you’ll witness some powerful characters entering the fray.

1. Yixuan

Yixuan, an elite S-class agent boasting the Auric Ink ability and Rupture expertise, introduces a fresh Adrenaline system, along with two formidable Ultimate transformations. Reminiscent of a Void Hunter’s power, she allows you to circumvent opponents’ defenses and inflict damage proportional to her Sheer Force. This force amplifies not only your Attack (ATK) but also your Health Points (HP), making Yixuan an exceptional addition to your team.

2. Ju Fufu

Supporting her is Ju Fufu, another elite Fire Stun Agent of S-rank, who engages in combat armed with her weapon, Hu Wei. This weapon accumulates Might and Momentum to inflict a combined blow. With her Chain Attack, you can amplify your team’s critical damage, chain attack, and ultimate power by activating the Tiger’s Roar effect.

3. A-Rank Agent and S-Rank Bangboo

In addition to the elite S-Rank Agents, there’s Pan Yinhu, a resilient A-Rank Physical Defense Agent who happens to be an endearing panda with a passion for cooking. Later on, you’ll encounter Belion, the freshly promoted S-Rank Bangboo. As for the Version 2.0 banners, both Astra Yao and Caesar will make their return to the action.

New events and quality-of-life updates

This upcoming update offers several exciting features! Firstly, it enlarges Hollow Zero: Lost Void with fresh commissions for you to explore. Additionally, agents will now have the ability to equip multiple gears simultaneously, adding a new layer of fun to gameplay. From a practical standpoint, improvements include a 3D map, advanced navigation tools, and Fissure Beacons for better navigation.

Looking forward to the update, you’ll find new missions in Hollow Zero: Lost Void! Plus, agents can now wear multiple gear items at once. On the practical side, there will be a 3D map, improved navigation tools, and special markers (Fissure Beacons) for easy location.

  • Gravitational Attraction: In this event, you can relax at Lumina Square’s cinema, watch in-game movies with various characters, and also earn exclusive rewards like the A-Rank W-Engine Reel Projector.
  • Soul of Steel: Golden Bond: You can pilot fast-paced mechs into the Hollows, and enjoy new challenges and rewards.

Anniversary Celebration

To mark the first anniversary of this game, HoYoverse is offering a selection of free rewards! You’ll have the opportunity to select one top-tier Agent and one top-tier W-Engine at no cost. Additionally, you will receive 1,600 Polychromes, 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, 10 Boopons, unique outfits, avatars, and a special title to commemorate the occasion. Enjoy the festivities!
