A sneak peek trailer, uploaded online on February 27, 2025, offers a glimpse of Shrek’s family, featuring characters like Fiona, Shrek himself, Donkey, their daughter, and others.
The trailer depicts the family peering into the enchanted Mirror, displaying an assortment of Shrek-themed internet memes that have become popular over time. Each meme is as peculiar as the next one, and eventually, the family bursts out laughing at the image of muscular Shrek.
Well, everyone except Fiona, that is.

As a passionate Shrek enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that while we don’t have an exact release date yet, the tantalizing teaser trailer hints at the movie gracing our screens during Christmas of 2026. So, keep your eyes peeled, as it might just make its grand entrance around that festive season!
It’s been 15 years since the last main Shrek film was released (in 2010), with only spin-offs being produced since then.
With Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy rejoining Cameron Diaz and Zendaya, there’s a strong chance that Shrek 5 could become the most outstanding Shrek film yet.
